Focus on reworks for the next several patch

We got 146 champions, and there is like 30, that used ~90% of the games. We got enough champion already. It's just over half of them are useless.

Riot started to rework old champions, but i ask to keep doing that, and don't put new champions for a while. Once most champions are useful, and the game is diverse again, then they should start making new ones.

is top pick rate with 22% despite, that it only has 9% banrate. "only has 15%", but he got a stunning 50% banrate with it. Imagine, if there were no ban system.

When was the last time you saw a who were good with it? Or a ? Or a . I didn't claculated, but i think, that the most 50 picked champion has bigger pick-rate combined, than the rest 96.

Tbf I don't want them to rework any of the older champions I still play. I don't want them to have 2 dashes, 3 on hit passives and 5 get out of jail mechanics when you misplay. Those are all things new champions and reworks get.

That's not really how any of it works though. They plot out way ahead of time (usually a year) how many champs, reworks, skins, ect are going to happen for the coming year. Sometimes they have already chosen who is going to be in most of those, and they have begun work.

Like the past few years they said they pushed a heavy amount of reworks and less new champs so they could get down the rework list. Now they have gone more into more balanced side of rework and new champions. However, have even said it will still be years before they truly slow down on the production of new champions.

Reworks make people who loved the champion for something that was removed sad I can't build artillery 3-shotting people full ad Urgot anymore, for example. I didn't really play him much, but I can imagine someone getting extremely sad over it. New champions don't make it worse for players, and some players will like playing new champion

Also, some champion's mechanics are too unique, like Kalista jump movement or ASol stars. You can't expect them to have high pickrate, but its still better than if they didn't exist.
