Season 6 Placements

Ok so i started playing around october 2015 and I think i did fairly well in normals, but nothing too crazy. So here comes Season 6 and the placements matches were probably 10 of the worse matches i ever played. I managed to win my first game, lost about 2 or 3 cause of AFK or trolls, played pretty bad(not gonna blame my teammates) in 5 or 6 and I won the last one, which gives me a record of 2-8. The thing is they put me into Silver V, and from what i have read on other threads about this, i was supposed to get bronze or something. Is it cause i only played against guys with higher MMR or is it a S6 thing? Im just curious. Also share your S6 placements performence and results! ^_^ Edit: I ment Preseason 6

You are placed based on mmr not win loss.

You got placed based on the mmr the ten games decided you were. So you beat some bronze people, then some silver, then lost a bunch to high silver and gold. So they assume you have low silver mmr.

Your earliest games are the most influential. So winning your first game put you ahead. It's really dumb, but that's how rito's system works. Basically imagine if you got carried in 2 more of those games. You would be ranked higher and I would have you on my team not having a clue what to do lol. It's a big problem in the game that isn't addressed.

So someone that wins 5 then loses 5 will be placed much higher then someone who does the opposite? Thats sounds kinda weird lol, but hey, im not complaining about not having to experience Bronze quite yet :)

Yes, but they should. For example, if you lose your first 5, you are going to drop below the starting point. Far below. You probably won't even get back there by winning the next 5. If you win your first 5, you are going to go extremely high, and not drop by losing your next 5. They do this to get smurfs up to rank quicker. The problem is that it only works for high elo smurfs. For the rest of us, it's completely random whether us or the enemy team gets the diamond smurf that carries us to victory. So a really bad player can get lucky and win the first 3 by having good smurfs on their team, and automatically get placed in silver when they should be bronze 5 lol. I have literally played with people in silver 1 with 15% win rates because they got carried into gold by their provisional games and are no where near good enough to play there. It really sucks getting one on your team.
