is playing safe viable or not?

depends on your champ, everyone else's champs, and how each team is doing.

Looking at your OP.GG, you'll climb if you follow these simple steps!

1. Pick 1-2 champs. Currently your ranked champ pool looks like you're spinning a slot machine and picking whatever champ pops up.

But there is plenty of room of play safe and abuse mistakes. Your opponents will make plenty of them at your elo. I think you should be playing aggressivly and learning your limits though. Better to feed and learn than afk and learn nothing

It depends on many factors.....

1. What champion are you playing? Some champions (like Fizz for example) excel in risky ganks etc. Reason why is because he can ulti, Q in under tower, auto, W, possibly auto again, then E out if he gets too low (or to dodge an enemy move). Generally this can get a kill if they are ahead or at least on par.... especially with working with allies. Others like Janna or Nasus enjoy a calmer game of "lets make this a farm fest lane!" until they get ahead enough and then boom. all good.

2. What is the enemy playing? Some champions like Nasus (as mentioned before) prefer a calmer lane. If you harass them off of farm, or present enough of a threat to them.... then they are slowed down dramatically on their efforts to get stuff. If they are not a champion who scales into late game very well... then they are going to be trying to be more aggressive early, meaning you can punish them easier.

3. What lane are you playing? If you clear out your lane mid, and they have bad wave clear... and you have a little cc possibly, then go for a gank in another lane. Don't waste your time just sitting and waiting for minions to come back, either back for an item or gank a lane or help your jungler with an objective... or hit the tower.

4. What is your play style? Bottom lane has to deal with 2 different play styles, which do not always intermingle well... but in solo lanes, it is just you. Do you play more re-actively? Do you prefer to be more engaging or poking? This goes with champion, but even then you could be playing Ahri and be waiting for them to engage on you before you charm them... or you might be looking for a chance to charm them and severely damage them. Vel'koz you can either Q them and then try knocking them up before you use W.... or you could just save 2 charges of your W and just Q then W them. Or you could just Q them and auto them and then Q them again and repeat.... Play style varies quite a bit by all of the above factors.

5. Where is everyone on the map? If the enemy jungler was just seen bottom lane and you are playing top lane with a fairly clear advantage... then SMACK THEM. Hit the tower, something. If your jungler is around top too... even better! smack down the turret hard, go for herald, steal the enemy red/blue buff... many things. If there is little risk in you punishing them, do it. It is still safe.

Also... Just to let you know there is such a thing as "too safe". When you are 1 cs vs their 100, you were playing too safe. It is not a question. If you are pushed out of experience by the enemy... you are playing too safe. (also means you need to learn wave management. look some videos up on youtube and they will likely be able to help you out there.)

(Also, if 1 cs is actually what you have unless you are a support in ANY game.... please go to a custom game, pick a champion, buy no items and do not back... and do not use abilities. Last hit only, or atleast attempt to only last hit the minions. Goal is over 100 CS in 10 minutes. Because learning to farm is needed.)

Play as safe as you need to be, but don't be afraid to fight. I am sure you played enough to feel it right? that moment when you know "I can kill this guy" You played a champ long enough hat you know the damage he does and how he does it. So i say play it safe until you get that feeling and then go in. Of course, make sure you have wards, because ganks change everything lol
