Whats the deal with the solo/duo Q system?

Is solo/duo q broken? Pre season i was almost gold5 having some really good games where it was fun and challenging. Now after s8 started I get placed silver 5, which is fine but then I'm getting players who literally dont know the basics of the game. I'm talkin like guys who never ult once inside of 20 minutes. No warding, no rotation etc. A very different selection of team mates than what i was used to preseason.

Whats even worse than that is we get unranked team mates, meaning they havnt even placed yet with 25% WIN RATES! This happens while the opposing team has even higher ranks than ours on average. Guess who wins those matches? its not hard to figure we lose and lose badly, like rolling over us with ease while laughing the whole way to our nexus.

I cant help but think that somehow i'm on some kind of black list. Do i need to buy a skin to get good team mates or how can I not get unranked team mates? Is the current way of things really the best way?

How do you move up the ladder if the system seemingly is against you. Why are there no unranked team members on my opposing teams?
