I don't understand the fuss about Ekko, Enlighten me my dearest board dwellers.

I've gone against him twice as Twisted Fate, and had no problem with him at all, he was one of the least threatening people in the match, both times. So please, enlighten me. Could it be that Twisted Fate is a Lane counter(Doubtful), people are overreacting(Possibility, but won't take it as fact), or that this was just a case of the "new champino retardino"(No offensive intentions) effect?

It's just the "this new champ is scary because he's different" effect. He's strong, sure, but he's not OP in any way.

Yeah, didn't seem too bad, seems like another Feast or Famine champ, but lesser than the others, due to his CC.

The hype will fall off soon.

I think people just haven't learned that if you stand on the ekko ghost you will die. Once they do things will be different.

His kid is overloaded that's why. He has the damage of an assassin, the cc of a tank, the utility of a support, and the shield of a full build Shen. Also 2 matches isn't enough to base an opinion on a champion

Um, personal experience goes a long way. And this wasn't a condemnation, this was me asking for some insight, as i've yet to have a troublesome time with him. Two matches can be used to form a consensus, as this was my goal, or at least what I was hoping for. I don't want Ekko to be as Overpowered as he's labeled, so that's why I asked for the insight, as I believe these two Ekko's weren't "LCS pros". I think it was just lack of knowledge that led to their un"timely" demise(Oh get'em).

WHEN EXACTLY DID ECHO HAVE A KID

... I'm kidding. He seemed overloading in numbers alone, yet riot somehow let this slide. ######no pun intended, so please.

so he got the Q for 2 stacks on his passive and his Ult triggered the third.

It's called herd mentality and it's very prevalent on these boards. A lot of the people supporting "Ekko OP" threads probably have very limited experience with or against the champion and are simply agreeing with what sounds logical, when it may not actually work in practice.

or maybe you're better than your opponent. GASP. IMPOSSIBLE!

While he can be beat, the odds aren't very good. You have to realize that people haven't even gotten good with him yet and he is pub stomping most matches.

He is definitely strong and very competent to hold his own against any meta mids, but I don't think he is insanely OP. His damage and AP ratio could be tuned down a bit, but same goes for LB, Kat,

He's OP as fuck. The reason why he's not performing well is because people know he's OP but don't know how to play him. As a result, they just take too many risks thinking that Ekko is safe in any situation and can win any fight. People are still testing his boundaries. In a few weeks, if untouched, he'll probably have one of the highest winrates. He will DOMINATE the pro scene for sure. This dude can turn around a game in so many games, that combined with the fact that his stats are way too high atm will assure him being pick or ban. This might be Riot's intention, though, because he does have flashy plays and will be interesting to watch.

I've played him a few times and I've fought against him all but one time in around 8 games.

I don't think he's obscenely overpowered, just a few knocks on the head should have him in a good spot, and fix his buggy time-trail. Lose vision of Ekko and the thing either has a seizure or it just disappears. As for the "knocks on the head", trim a little off the ult damage and shield health. The heal is fine in my opinion. Having to blow ult just to get out SERIOUSLY cripples the guy. Also, maybe consider reducing the bonus damage on E, synergizes perhaps a bit too well with lichbane along with the dash/blink already in it.

watched him get pwnd by lablanc 5 times in a match.held to only 1 kill looks like the secret is a fast burn down he cant stop that

COWmanLord1 votes

He is definitely strong, but I think the biggest reason people think he is so strong is because they haven't quite figured out all his strengths/weaknesses.

The most prevalent example is that he can be like a full AP singed. Except that the damage is on his ult and comes in a burst. People chase him. He ults. They die. This is how I see a majority of people lose against ekko.

JUST PLEASE STOP CHASING HIM.

He has a really safe lane, a lot of damage, a lot of mobility, a lot of out play potential. And I haven't had a solo queue team figure out how to focus him down while he's cc'd yet.
