So, I thought, with the change to everything being some kind of essence, that we'd be able to actually spend our essence more frequently. I'm finding that is not the case so, we come back to the same problem that essence was said to solve, which was sitting on a ton of IP with nothing to spend it on. Anyone want to clarify what I guess is now an assumption or misunderstanding?
The BE shop isn’t a year round thing even though it should be.

I don't think the change to BE was inherently supposed to solve the mountains of IP(/BE) people had, and in fact on it's own it'd make it worse (no longer have runes as a sink, and 'average' players make more of it than before). It's the BE emporium that was the main solution, with super pricey stuff exclusively for IP (Urfwick, some icons/gemstones, emote, ward skin), as well as the ability to buy random icons/ward skins that'd normally be RP exclusive.
While theres arguments for it to be available year round, they feel it's more exciting to have it be a big deal twice a year.
