An Alternate Solution To Talon's Cutthroat

As someone who plays Talon sporadically whenever I'm not messing about in the midlane with Yasuo, Zed, Veigar or Vel'Koz, I always thought the silence on Cutthroat was a little too strong. I'm glad that Riot's taking a look at it, because it's just annoying to go against for the same reason that LeBlanc's was: they get fed easily and then there's nothing you can do.

At the same time, I don't know that completely removing Talon's ability to shut down champions for a short moment is the right answer either. The 99% slow is cool, but a different option I thought that was intriguing is having Cutthroat simply interrupting channels. It fits in better thematically with the ability (I would definitely be shocked out of the concentration needed to cast a spell if a terrifying assassin teleported behind me), and does the same thing that the silence did, just for not as obnoxiously long, and it puts the onus on the Talon player to be able to read their mark's next move and use Cutthroat at the precise moment.

Seeing as there aren't as many abilities that require channels, comparatively, the ability could keep the new 99% slow as well, so that the ability is more than a gap closer on melee champions, or channel-less mages like Annie and Veigar. That would be up to the balancing team, however, I'm not an expert.

What do the rest of you guys think about this? Is it too little compared to the new slow in 4.17? Would it be too much added on top of the slow?

I actually really like this compromise, both thematically and functionally. I would keep the slow though as well.
