Is Kha'zix really bad atm?

He looks like tons of fun, but his winrate is scarce o.o Though I find it weird that I look up his statistics from players who are really good at him and they stretch to challenger with high winrates. source: na.op.gg

Does this mean the average player-base just sucks ass at him, or is it something that I don't understand?

He isn't weak at all. He is pretty balanced actually. It's just that there are better (i.e. OP) choices than him at the moment.

He's an assassin jungler similar to Rengar. His abilities and play style are not difficult to pick up but, as most assassins, his early clears and ganks pre 6 are very weak, he is also very vulnerable to counter jungling early and he needs to snowball early to have any impact on the game.

He's weak early, which is exactly when he needs to start snowballing. He is genuinely weak. Even if his assassin jungle competition weren't stronger than him, I'd just pick a bruiser instead. The problem is that if he doesn't snowball he becomes a liability very quickly.

Can you use him? Yes. Can you do well with him? Sure. Can he stack up to the competition? Absolutely not.

Also other single target assassin jungles can do his job better than him outclassing him like rengar.

if he snowballs he's a beast, if he falls behind he's useless.

He snowballs incredibly hard. The main reason people won't touch him anymore is when RIOT decided to remove his OP damage reduction on his R after they had thought it was a good idea to give it to him in the first place. Average players were able to play with him easily with the R dmg reduction because he had little risk now. When it was taken away it wasn't as easy to play with him and stomp, so he receives less play.

He's feast or famine. Basically, if you know how to get ahead, you will and you will do great. If you dont... well you will get destroyed. So to answer your question. Yes, the average player-base sucks ass at him. And not just him, but many others of his nature.

As I see it, he can do immense thousand damage Qs every 3.5 seconds to isolated targets. That's a lot of damage. Or you could play someone like Yi, and do that every auto attack, whenever.

That's really his problem. He has immense conditions on doing well where "well" is only about as good as similar champions. He does have the jump mobility, but it's a really short range if you don't evolve that...
