Well...Season 10 feels JUST AS BAD FOR BOT LANE as I thought it would...
Don't take this as a preemptive shitpost of season 10 - I actually enjoy a lot of the changes to the gameplay. The map feels pretty good despite feeling a bit...awkward, at the moment. The changes to lethality actually feel pretty smooth.
But by far my biggest fear coming into this season was the scenario where the lvl 6 jungler (and possibly the level 6 mid with them) come to gank the underleveled bot lane, and adcs are going to be placed pretty severely behind with any amount of pressure. That fear is definitely no unwarranted. It's now SO easy to put one bot lane or the other behind that it's pretty much game deciding by 7-10 minutes - either one bot lane is now like 0/5 and cant contest ANYTHING...or they're 5/0 and DOMINATING their enemies so hardcore that even if their team came to help them, it's feel like a 2v2 against the solo laners, cause the enemy bot is that irrelevant.
Another interesting thing: These AD support items. I thought it'd make Pyke and Senna a total pain in the ass (honestly, jury's still out) but THRESH...how many of us FORGOT about AD Thresh..? Jesus I got murdered. I'm honestly not even that upset about the Thresh kicking my ass (I actually think opening up more build paths is a good thing) though I promise you as a bot lane main that people are about to get super frustrated at "these fucking damage supports" again, and compounding that with the part where the adc's are going to be multiple levels behind the rest of the game the longer it progresses means we're gonna be back to a "win by 15" meta. Most ADCs are just gonna feel bad...just...absolutely bad...
This is going to be early 2018 all over again, from the perspective of the "lel ADC 2k18" memes. And while there's a fair amount of you probably thinking "good, fuck adcs they dont take any skill and my facerolling bruiser build shouldn't have to worry about dodging right clicks." And to that I say, sure...just remember that when the only 3 viable adcs are Jinx, Vayne and Kog'Maw, and all the other adcs start building their damage "support" items, while you as bruisers end up trying to meta-shift to the bot lane, since your days at top have been notably irrelevant.
I feel a lot of meta changes coming off these changes...but as someone who mains support/secondaries bot lane, I know for a fact like 90% of my adc roster isnt ready for what's coming. All I know is that as far as the current meta is concerned - it feels just as bad as it looked on paper
