I finally decided to try ranked this season....

I've been playing since pre season 1 (1 week before Xin Zhao release), so I've been around a while. I tried ranked in season 1, then played a bit last season cause a friend wanted to duo with me-but stopped playing after our placements in silver 2.

So this is the first season where I decided to really give it a go. Played it off and on for the first half, in the past couple weeks I've been putting in more games. Placements, landed Silver 4. Completed promos there and went up to Silver 2. Getting to Silver 1 wasn't too bad...

And now I just (failed) promos for Gold V. Just take a look at these screen shots...

So you can see I'm a Silver 1 being placed with a bunch of golds against a team of plats/high golds-in fact all but 1 of them was a plat at some point. In the last game which I lost there was a former diamond, low plat on the enemy team.

Didn't really do too bad. Did worse near the end cause Xayah was just too fed to deal with, and there was nothing I could do.

Apparently there's still a hidden MMR, and mine is similar to all these guys. This doesn't make sense...if I'm a silver 1, put me with other ****ing silver 1's, so I can get to where I should be. The fact that I performed decently (which has been the case in most of my games, rarely have I done badly so far) tells me I can perform at their level.

Why is ranked so shit? This doesn't make sense. I have to win 60% of my promos to hit gold...while facing high golds/low plats? Oh, and if you look at the dialogue in the post game lobby, you get an idea of the atmosphere of the team. Ended up tearing itself apart yelling at each other.

This post is pretty much me venting/questioning why ranked works the way it does, it feels like an uphill struggle to get where I SHOULD be, since it's already placing me against players of higher rank.
