Things that may make a Supports Life easier

#1. The Problem with Inventory Space and Control Wards.

  • Clicking a Stealth Ward transforms it into a Control Ward when you are having one of these: item 2045 item 2303 item 2302 item 2301 (with X Charge(s) refreshing when visiting the Shop). Or make it alt/strg click on ward so you cant accidentally use the charge.

  • If Riot isnt granting an extra Slot for Control Wards, why not something like this?

#2. The Underlevelled Problem

  • item 3303 item 3302 item 3301 (and their upgrades) grants extra experience when near Allies with a higher Level (basically the old Inspiration mastery) and/or for assits and/or for placing/destroying Wards?

Give supports 4 wards on item 2049 again And make it so that item 2049 only has 3 wards if you have summoner 11 to prevent LCS junglers form using it and stagnating games from an overload of information.

These would make supports stronger.... not sure how it makes anything easier..... realistically they make it more complicated.... I just don't see how supports aren't strong enough.... I mean you have champions so strong that without items and under leveled they can pretty much single handedly turn or win a team fight for there team.

with the underleveled problem I think its just wise to re-add inspiration and just put it down to teir 5 or make it behave like Dragon where it only puts you up to the average level (ignoring the person holding the mastery of course)

Why not just let the Control Ward override the Trinket Slot until it's placed?

I think giving the SS line the functionality you're seeking ends up just making them even more messy and complicated.

Also, IMHO, I think Control Wards are a terrible design, as they aren't as clean as the old Vision Wards (i.e. Sight in an AoE that also reveals 'camouflaged' champs' vs True Sight in an AoE) and it perpetuates this lack of interaction between players and wards that's plagued the vision game since the earliest days (i.e. rather than outplaying my ward, or exploiting some weakness inherent to it, you purchased an item that is specifically designed to hard-counter my ward and one-ups it in almost every way.)

The issue with the support items, is a role that doesn't use the support items (such as ancient coin etc.) Could be abused in higher elos, or in general. Like an ADC would run Ancient coin to get more XP and gold if they miss the minion. Or if you pick up the AP or tank one you could just have your jungler camp what lane you are gaining not only a huge advantage but also gaining more XP when they do gank.

But I will say that you 1 is looking pretty fine, I'd love to have that as a support and would take up less space, and less money to buy controls.

The problem with the second thing you mentioned is that it would be super hard to balance. If it would be too strong everyone thats under leveled or everyone that would have a over leveled team m8 would just buy it to get back into the game. If it would be too weak though, it would not help the support. I really like the assisst and ward thing though. That would help alot!
