About shifting Skarner to a tank.

Hey, in one of the big mega threads related to the mymu, Meddler mentioned shifting Skarner to a tank with future nerf/buffs. What are peoples thoughts on that?

More specifically what do other Skarner mains feel should be done to accomplish that?

I for one would be ok with it depending on what changed. For example, lower base AD (I would be sad to see it go though :/ ) . Lower damage on q, which further reduces the damage combined with the base ad change. Lower ult damage, again further lowered by base ad change. Maybe shift q away from base ad?

With lower base ad and lower damages on Skarner's abilities, that could open him up to getting more base move speed, slightly higher ms boost on his shield, a lower ult cool down, and a scaling increase to the stun on his e levels. like 1/1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4. Maybe increase the cool down by one second, so similar cool down with one stun, lower for every stun after that.

I like ulting as Skarner, so a lower ult cool down and getting some of his ms back would go a long way towards making him feel good. I would think maybe 120/90/60 or 120/95/70. I also really like how his E interacts with his innate, so I would think it would be cool to see the stun get a little longer.

I actually think keeping his base ms the same and then having lower health on shield and noticeably higher movespeed is worth investigating. This would give skarner more ability to dodge skill shots and opponents more of a reward for landing the skill shot.

Then again when Skarner out speeds everyone again it might bring back his old binary play.

Edit: Adding a TLDR Riot mentioned shifting Skarner to a tank. Hopefully that means lower damage, longer stuns and higher base ms. It would also be nice to see an ult cd decrease at later levels.

My brother plays mainly Skarner and was overall happy with the update.

He said W is apparently perfect now? But he wants the rocks gone since they give the enemy information and he mostly just ignores taking them post-first clear anyways. If they were to change anything my brother would want the Q movespeed on-hit back. (but not the crystal stacking mechanic obviously).

He can't be shifted to a tank; he already is one.

I should say that right now one of the high points of Skarner for me is getting multiple stuns off, so if going tank meant doubling down on that I would appreciate that. I still want to keep flexible item paths though.
