Give us a daily Mulligan for ranked.

I think we've all had one of the following happen when we queued up for ranked:

a. Someone gets last pick, and threatens to feed, or in general throws a tantrum when they don't get middle/top. This usually results in someone either being forced to adapt a round champion into a square peg, after they announce "top or feed" after locking in with a top champion, or auto losing when two people are fighting over top lane. Or middle, or whatever lane the man child couldn't live without.

b. The guy that is clearly trolling, picks rammus with ghost and revive, makes no secret that he is going to build nothing but move speed items, might even admit that hes going to feed. Or the guy who picks Mordekaiser ADC, or any other thing that screams "Oh boy, a troll". At best, this is someone "trying something new", but without the etiquette to do it in normals or even better, a bot game.

c. Tons of bickering among the team before champion select is even over. Double points if it's the ADC and support yelling at each other.

These are just the ones that I can think of at the moment, but any of the above generally means you are going to lose the match. It's not even going to be close, or a remotely fair fight, you are just going to lose. So why are we forced to be a captive audience to what are basically super toxic players? They know we are captive, and unable to leave because it will get us a loss if we leave. So we are forced to either waste 30-40 minutes on the off chance the enemy team has more trolls than ours, or we eat a loss and a 30 minute (or longer) cooldown on rejoining a game.

Why would Riot not give us a daily(or even a charging mechanic similar to the reroll in ARAM, based on number of games played since the last one), that gives us at least the ability to avoid the worse of these outbursts?

You've already had one.

FIrst dodge of the day = -3 LP + 5 mins.

I've always kinda considered the first dodge rito's "mulligan" they gave us, the only punishment is -3LP and 5 minutes which isn't too bad.

You already get one "almost free" dodge per day. Totally free dodges will be abused.

How about letting the mulligan stack similar to ARAM Play through 1 game to get 1 point. Win one game to get 2 points. First win of the day give 3 points. Store up to 10 points. Each Mulligan costs 5 points.

Still can't dodge in promos. Mulligan/first dodge of the day or not. Cause logical reasons.

There isn't any real good answer. As RIOT can't actually monitor the behavior live when the game starts, they can only create ways to deal with it in the aftermath. I feel the problem with implementing something similar to ARAM rolls is that it would be abused heavily. A lot of players in general don't really like non-meta picks, so if someone doesn't pick something that is "meta," then they would possibly just dodge because of this, creating long queue times for no reason. Also, I feel all this would do is just reset you all back into the same group basically, as you haven't really specified who you actually don't want to play with. At least with a dodge, you completely remove yourself from queue, so I guess what you're saying is you want to have free non punishable dodges? I don't think this is a good way to deal with the issue so I'm somewhat against your suggestion.

I disagree with you with the "testing new thing" when you say "this is someone "trying something new", but without the etiquette to do it in normals or even better, a bot game.". That doesn't make sense to me because you have no idea if he tried that in normal and/or bot game before and if it worked or not so it's kind of a strange argument. And that is probably one of the major point why this thing is not implemented because nobody COULD ever try new things "that work".

Without that I'd love to see this joker system.

Now if there is such a system implemented, it will have adverse effects on the ranked system as a whole. Let me explain. If team A has a troll/afk and loses, and each member gets a mulligan and recieves no LP penalty, and team B wins against them and still recieves LP, then only positive LP will be granted from that game. If this happens often across the whole ranked spectrum (which i assume it would) then the whole ranked playerbase on average would move up in ranking. If this continues then people will be moving up to places where they don't belong, and as such you would get screwed up rankings that don't mean anything. For example, someone who is at silver 4 could use the daily mulligan system to achieve an almost guarunteed steady LP gain to climb to gold or higher. Thus a mulligan system would have very bad effects on the ranked system as a whole.
