Aatrox mini-rework/power shift
This is just my personal opinion of how to make Aatrox more healthy in his current state as a fan of the new and old iteration. Right now his Q is the focus of his identity, and next to his ult is the main reason he is so Pro-play dominate. I think scaling back its possible damage and availability, while pushing power else were in the kit would help that out. The goal is to not necessarily nerf him, and more shift his power state in pro, and increase viability for solo queue.
Passive - Blood Thirst: Heal for 20 / 22.5 / 25 / 27.5 / 30% (levels 1 / 4 / 7 / 10 / 13) for the post-mitigation-physical damage he deals to champions, large minions, and large monsters. 15% effectiveness against small minions and monsters.
Q - Darkin Blade:
Passive - Umbral Dash: While channeling Q, Aatrox will dash in the target direction after issuing a movement command during the wind-up of the Q active (just like Kalista). No longer grant bonus AD. Can hold 2 charges with the same charge rate as current E.
Active: Same as current active. No longer deals reduced damage to minions. Cooldown no longer scales down with level. This extended CD less burst without the bonus AD would allow power put into autos.
W - Infernal Chains: Same as current iteration, but resets auto attack timer like the current E. This more as an assist to farming and a small benefit to tower DPS like it it is the in the current kit iteration.
E - Deathbringer Stance/Mutilator Stance: Every 25 seconds (reduced by 2 second for auto attacks or hiting abilities, 4 seconds for hitting enemy champions with Darkin Blade's sweet spots), Aatrox gains 50 range and deals 8% of the targets maximum health on his next basic attack. Aatrox can toggle between 2 stances to gain bonus effects against enemy champions.
Deathbringer Stance: Aatrox deals increased on-hit damage (12 / 13 / 14 / 15 / 16% max health). Uses current crit animation like old Blood Price. They could use the old "tower slap" animation they removed for the crit animation maybe (would looks hilarious, but no one would ever build crit that is sane... cough* Coolkipp cough*).
Mutilator Stance: Aatrox marks the target for 3 seconds with Mutilator, reducing all healing and shielding on that target by 40%, and healing for 50 / 62.5 / 75 / 87.5 / 100% of the bonus on-hit damage dealt (4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8% of the target's max health post-mitigation).
R - World Ender: Same as current iteration.
TL;DR - In the end we would end with this:

The passive sustain would be available from level 1, but would also scale with level so would be nerfed slightly mid game, and would also be better against canons for laning and large monsters for jungle.

The Q would be up less often and would have less burst without the bonus AD on dash, now 16 sec CD at all ranks. With the dash now on Q channel only, this also limits his mobility unless he want to use a Q charge to do it.

The W would now reset autos like current E.

E would now be a toggle stance change that would offer either high damage or sustain and mutilator passive based on what you need.
