Akali's Early game sustain is too strong

As a champion who is supposed to be punished early so that you dont have a huge problem with her level 6 power spike. Akali's passive healing is too strong. i m not saying the heal itself is too much but the cooldown is too low. i think her passive cooldown should be raised a bit to stop her from getting that constant heal. its very annoying to play against and immobile squishies take too much of a beating from her if you cant knock her down before level 6. She even has her W which provides MS so she can move to a champ/minion auto them then duck back into the shadow. However the W is not the problem i wanna address. If something were to happen to her W i think its cooldown should be higher early then scale down with levels. EDIT: Her W can be used to avoid your cc so you cant stop her from getting to you. It can also be used to be untargetable after she throws a q at you then runs back in her W ANOTHER EDIT: She is an energy champ. while that may affect her ability to full combo constantly. she gets to spam her Q at you for no punishment, versus if a mana user like Syndra were to q as much as the Akali she's fighting. she wouldnt have any mana by minute 3 of the laning phase. Akali also gets energy regeneration from hitting her q mark(which is not hard at all)

Her new passive rewards her for multiple short trades rather than the old I'm going all in and will prob win

A) Akali's passive healing is ALL in the ratio. It heals for next to nothing before most of the Gunblade components. Second it already has an 8 second cooldown which is one of the longest out of all the sustain abilities in the game (she heals more from her actual health regen before first back).

B) Akali's W has a 20 second cooldown at all ranks and has no way of lowering it without CDR which is a stat that Akali doesn't get any of until like 15 minutes in. If 20 seconds isn't long enough for you to punish a melee champion in lane then that is more or less on you.

If you're failing to punish an Akali early as Syndra that's not a problem of character design, you're playing the lane very badly. Let's give Akali a best case here, she has 9 AD reds, 9 AP blues, 3 AP Quints, the hybrid AD/AP mastery and a longsword start at level 4 for a total of 22 bonus AD and 34 AP. With this insanely aggressive setup Akali heals for a total of 40 HP on a 7 second CD. With a fairly standard setup Syndra's Q deals 121 raw damage on a 4 second CD, she also has ranged AAs and other spells she can hit Akali with. If you play the lane decently you can harass though Akali's sustain easily.

Let's also ignore the fact that you're calling for nerfs on a balanced to slightly weak champion.

Her old passive was actually better to play against since you need to spam abilites on the minion wave in order to heal therefore pushing the wave and be prone to ganks, the new passive heals more with one autoattack (therefore not pushing the wave) but overall it's less than her old passive.

The assassin update severely nerfed her scaling (passive and ult changes) but shift this to her early game. So her level 6 power spike isn't as high as it used to be.

akali is stupid and riot needs to bring the old one back

Pre-gunblade you can literally undo the healing on her passive with 1 auto.

W has a static 20 second cooldown and lasts 8 seconds. If she uses it to harass, it leaves her vulnerable for 12 seconds which is a prime time to gank.

Unlike her unreworked state, she actually has to walk up and auto a minion as opposed to throwing Q, which opens up a window for harassing.

akali has to hit a minion for like a 50 hp regen every 8 seconds early game, and most mid laners can harass akali early game with even a basic attack, if not a skill, that is about equal, if not more than, the heal she gets back. you're essentially complaining about one free minion, given that you didn't punish the akali for that minion which is on you. i have over 300k mastery points on akali and have reached diamond 5 as only akali, but i can guarantee to you that all akali mains will agree that akali is outclassed by champions such as katarina. i've found early game that i'm not able to farm without my shroud or just using my q, and if you're making other akalis feel differently you're definitely doing something wrong.

{quoted} immobile squishies take too much of a beating from her

Working as intended.

Harass her as she is going for her passive heal, if you let her do it for free too many times she -will- come out on top during trades, it's how she functions as a character in the laning phase.

If she is using her shroud to get in on minions, she's not using it to all-in duel you, poke her as she attacks for the heal, and back off. If she is holding onto her shroud you can punish her quite heavily for going for CS / Passive heals in lane.

Prior to gunblade Akali's all in isn't particularly safe unless you misuse your own characters skills (For example throwing and missing your stun/bind/major damage source.)

Otherwise, picking an unfavorable matchup into Akali, or being counterpicked by Akali is naturally going to be an extremely explosive lane, it's just how she and similar Assassins function and isn't really specific to her.

Actually shes really weak now i play her and i can tell you that late game you wont be touching anyone (plat+) Early is kinda where akali needs to get fed to stay relevant if she goes 0 0 0 by 20 minutes shes GONNA lose adc are just gonna 3 shot you with zhonyas or without Unless you are 7 0 0 you got slight chance in taking adc down TRUST me on this one Draven with item 3812 item 3072 is just gonna destroy her even if she is 20 0 with zhonyas and tabis

Akali is 48% win rate and a very low play rate (around 1%). Her kit is much slower and more sluggish than it was before the rework because her ultimate offers much less damage and she has to hit you with autoattacks to deal the majority of her damage. While her laning is stronger, her post 6 game is now weaker. If you nerfed her there wouldn't be much of a champion left.
