Knock Ups Should Be Affected By Tenacity
Anyone else think its considered "crowd control", makes complete sense to me that it should be reduced by Tenacity.

anyone thinks that putting irreducable crowd controll on champions with mobility and good damage to back it up does not make any sence and results in owerloaded kit like jarwan and lee sin
does anyone thought that it would make sence for mordekaiser to knock you up with his mace when his main theme is raw power while it does not fit lee sins theme to be able to launch you with a kick into an orbit when his main theme is nimble fighter who has insane presence in fights ?
all that people notice is mobility creep or lack of counterplay becuase it allows champions to realibly use all the stuff they have in their kits, while its simple power creep where some champions get oweloaded kits and cant be punished with low stats for it
Yeah make the gravity stronger
The thing, in my drunk opinion, is that knockups were good and balanced back when there weren't many champions that had them. It was fine to have a select few champion whose ablities could not be reduced by tenacity and that was good.
But these last few champion releases, sometime around Yasuo being released, every new champion has had a significant knock-up ability. And when you cram so many knock-ups into the game 'all at once', it kinda makes regular stuns/snares and likewise feel very much second-place, if you ask me.
I pulled up the champion releases just to show:
Rek'Sai: Knockup Kalista: Knockup Azir: Knockup Gnar: Knockup/-back Braum: Knockup Vel'Koz:: Knockup Yasuo: : Knockup
(Not to mention Sion's rework which, well would you look at that, also has a knockup! Oh wait, what's that I'm hearing? He has... Two!? Two knockups!? Well I'll be damned. Slap me on the ass and call me Shirley! If we had any more knock-ups in League, we could rename the game "16 and Pregnant (Valoran Edition)".)
That's a bloody seven champs in a row that have a freaking knockup, the last of which has great synergy with it. And as many of those happen to be rather popular picks in the current meta, of course, we're gonna be seeing a lot of knock-ups in our games. So anything with a regular stun just kinda leaves you like 'meh'.
Whereas a knockup is visually impressive and accurately displays just why your character is unable to move (that's because he's FLYING ACROSS THE SKIES) whereas stuns are basically just 'why did I suddenly stop moving/doing things', I still think there's a ridiculous over-hyping of knockup abilities in Rito's champion creation board.
So my solid thought is: Knock ups are totally okay. They're impressive and add a lot to the 'action' in League. But for the love of god, Rito, stop throwing them out at every champion that probably could've done fine without it/with another form of CC. Even the bloody ADC got one by now. Calm down.
Sorry for the rant, got a wee bit carried away, but I'll be hung upside down from a beehive if I'm wrong.
buy's boots falls to the ground faster logic
funny how riot is so completely opposed to Suppression as a form of cc that they (as far as I'm aware) have never implemented another form of it after malz and ww. But continue to add copious amounts of knockups into the game despite knockups having the same problem that Suppression has.
Not trolling or anything, but that is what makes Knockups a knockup. Its a unique CC that has no counter-play(disgusting as it sounds), but if knockup would be reduced by tenacity, which in turns is then removed by QSS, then it is just a Stun with some Yasuo Ult interaction involved. Don't get me wrong, I think the fact that many new champions are having this form of CC is not healthy, but I can understand it. With the release of Yasuo, 21 champions now had knockups and many others (EX:
) could activate his ult; we now have 24+ that will make Yasuo have a better team composition overeall. I think in general, that displacements overall need to be reviewed, Yasuo's ult indicator is the best example to see which type of spells are "AIRBORNE" in a sense that they aren't reduced by tenacity.
TL;DR: Knockups aren't the issue, displacements is the problem and Yasuo's ult indicator demonstrates which spells are the ones that aren't affected by tenacity ( with the exception of Galio and such)
No. Knockups aren't a huge problem, considering they're used on a small variety of champs that are rarely used as it is. And most of those have more utility than they do damage (outside of Aatrox) which usually can't 100-0 you in a single trade-off with them.
There's much worse CC than a knockup - like a fling (voli, singed which can go into snare if flung into your W) or ranged displacement during an ult channel (Hi Draven)
Considering the 'trending popularity' of introducing new champions with knock-ups, this should be dominant. Tenacity should strongly affect knockups.
Um no it doesn't make a lot of sense...it makes perfect sense why slow/stun/snare/etc isn't as affective on someone who is "tenacious." Theoretically knock up duration is affected by the force of knock up /duration in air, with falling speed determined by gravity, thus constant. Weight does not affect how fast an object/champion falls (thank you Galileo), while the height of knock up would technically be affected by how much the champion weights...but that's just too complicated and unfair.
At this point, Tenacity should be removed and champions rebalanced around it's removal.
Make the Magic Resist boots cut 10% damage from magic damage taken instead. (Wee powerful but imo makes sense)
