Lock In dodges and solutions

So I was all gung-ho for the "lock in" feature when it came out in the new draft mode.

A lot of potential and I originally thought this was a good idea. It kept people from leaving the room and going afk right after they picked a champ. They had to stay to both ban and lock in. This really helps in lower elo's/mmr's (most of league players) since some people dont pay attention and I have noticed this new "lock in" feature keeps people actively engaged in picks. (if that was Riot's original purpose, and not for people to make "extra" sure that was who they wanted to ban or pick to play).

This seemed to do both purposes well for the first two days it was out (at least in my opinion)

However, over time this has become annoying for 2 reasons. One, people forget and it's causing more dodges. Two I am not sure what happened, but the "lock in" feature does not always work. Every time I hit lock in, it ignores the press, timer runs out, and I'm left with an afk time ban. Then i have to restart client only to wait for the afk ban timer to run out... [zombie-brand-facepalm]

So this made me think, what if other people are having these issue (already know people have been raging online about this).... Now riot is left with a series of people that can't play ranked/draft and more dodges. They really need to work this out to figure out, come up with a new solution to do deal with afk dwellers in champ select w/o punishing players who just forget.

2 solutions I thought of would be...

1.If they dont hit the "lock in" button, they dont leave champ select but just get a warning for next time. If they repeatedly miss it, then they are kicked and get a warning after they are kicked. If they continue, then they get an afk timer ban. 2. Maybe an option to deal with potential afker's and not have to lock in (for other people who the "lock in" button will simply not work).

These are just two things that come to mind. If anyone has any idea's, please list them out, and I'll see if i can add it here or to the poles.

Hopefully Riot will listen to us.
