Is it me or have ADCS been Meta for the majority of the time

Ever since the new masteries were introduced along with the marksmen update?

ADC didn't really come online till about May and June. Along with the supports finally being good. They can actually do something from the burst. Preseason 7 till about April was not fun to play ADC. January was the absolute worst.

Were you not here when Marksmen were abusing all the penetration items in S6? Were you not here after the adjustments of Assassin rework, Twitch, Caitlyn were Meta, After that, Varus and Jhin were Meta for months, Jhin was at 55% win rate with 30% pick rate.

Oh you mean that part of the season where lethality was meta, not just the varus, jhin, and Miss fortune. Assassins literally imploding any squishy that they could get onto?

Also marksman abusing it? You mean the only 3 true abusers at all. Then you throw in all the others abusing the items as well? Assassins at that time were destroying everything. The only reason these three came online was to shift the marksman meta to them. Why? Lethality was fucking murderous at the time. Zed could easily deal with any of them. The only reason varus was played because of the Q. However all 3 of them were bad late game when tanks started rolling around.

You forget the fact that late game was none existent, Zed was not even 50% win rate at the time

Part of it I'd imagine may be the Tank updates.

Since high health Tanks and Bruisers are becoming more prevalent, mages and Assassins are losing their footing because they have fewer targets they can burst down. Meaning that the DPS the ADC provides, is becoming more of a linchpin in team comps. ("Protect the Carry")
