LP Losses

Had a game with a "smurf" on my team who went 1/5 then flamed and afk'ed with three tears, that's -18 LP. Next game lose from one elder dragon jungle mistimed smite and I lost 20 LP. I was only gaining 17 in all my wins. How does Riot expect people to have will to keep climbing when you can't even gain LP by winning because your next loss takes more LP than you had.

You have to hard carry, I have had friends who were plat-diamond rage because silver-gold was so bad and all they did was fed and there's tons of smurfs/boosted rn in solo/duo because it's nearing the end of the season
