A story about perserverence.

(And about death timers too)

So I just got out of a match. Here is the setup. We had a Fiora top vs a jayce. A morg mid vs an akali. A spider chick(can't remember champ name for the life of me) vs a yi Jung. Not was me sup Karma with a Quinn, against their lux vayne bot.

Bot we start strong. Winning the cs battle. Top fiora starts having issues early. She dies to jayce twice and is getting yanked by yi a lot. Mid doing OK but I think ganked by yi once. Quinn starts going too aggressive, starts dying.

Mid game everything is bad. Our jungle is trading kills, quinn too agroo and dying a lot. Akali and yi roaming everywhere and slaughtering. I'm doing what I can, getting some kills and assists, not dying a lot.

The rage starts. Everyone but me and morg is raging hard. Coming down on morg who is a little behind but way less deaths then all them. I defend her and try to calm everyone down, with mixed success. Alkali and yi still trashing us, we are down to two inner turrents and an open inhib mid.

I tell everyone to chill and not die, since death timers are getting long. I noticed the same strat every time, enemy yi comes in with alpha strike, goes to town on everyone, then alkali mops up.

So I had a plan. Late game, yi comes in for his alpha strike. I mantra sheild my team, drop a tether on him, he gets exploded. With our team not low health now, their strat dissolves, we mop up and ace.

Hard push mid and get inhibit, and everyone actually listens when I say back off. We push other lanes while they clear super minions mid. They start playing sloppy and over aggressive and not as a team. Now they start raging. One more fight and we take nexus.

Tl;dr- we were getting slaughtered, raging starts. Way behind. But we calmed down, waited for our moment, and came back. Its always worth trying, and not raging when behind.

Also I carried that game and got an S. IMA go open my chest now.

Morgana brutally murders Akali in lane, and Elise getting outganked by Yi is embarassing. Your team was just bad.

While there isn't much of an excuse for morg losing (unless bot was roaming a lot), it's tough to judge the yi/elise matchup when both are fairly reliant on their enemy being pushed up. Don't just a jungler's ganking ability when it's really 100% reliant on your teammates opening up the option to gank

Elise is the undisputed queen of tower diving.

Unfortunately you can't really tower dive them effectively if they are pushed under tower with high hp :3

That's inspiring and all, but you realize if you guys had some tankiness on your team, you woulda done better?

When you figure out how to convince people in bronze they are making poor picks or the team needs something, you let me know.

Maybe its me, but I personally don't care that much about wins or losses.

If the gaming environment becomes overly hostile or dysfunctional, I don't want to play.
