this is SUCH a noob question, but how do armor an MP work?
I always thought that Armor reducdes Attack Damage, and MP Reduces Ability Power, but i heard it has something to do with physical and magical. how can u tell if a champ does physical or magical damage???
Chamuel852 votesThe ability itself should say if it does magical or physical damage. I don't know of any abilities that scale off of AP that do physical damage, but Jhin is a good example. His Traps scale off of AD (and AP I guess), yet do magical damage.
Bhagswag2 votesPink numbers on you are magic damage. Red or orange (crit) is physical. When you die, you can also check Death Recap at the top of the screen to see what type of damage you took the most of.
Armor reduces things like Ashe's auto attacks and her W, and things like Sivir's boomerang.
MR reduces things like Heimerdinger's turret damage and Veigar's bombs.
