I know it's going to be another Ashe post.. But let's talk.

Most threads I'm seeing are about specific stuff. Let's talk about Ashe's changes and think about new stuff that might happen in general.

I had been playing Ashe for about 5 months straight since I've started League. I've never reached 30 level on any of my other accounts on other servers as well as on this one, but I played over 200 games with Ashe until I started another champion. Once I got other champions that I was able to play, Ashe was not in my picks anymore since I had no reason to pick her over other damage-dealing, fast-paced champions. It was later when I realized she had a pretty decent kit for an adc, except for the fact that her mobility kinda sucks and that your slows don't help you when you're in a real desperate situation with a champ who has gapclosers who will just come up to you and kill you. I found no reason to pick her over other champions, even other adc's since there were many, many stronger ones than herself.

After the change, her old Q is now a* passive,* and her crit chances are not a thing anymore. I used to go *first-Infinity *every time. Would the extra damage on her aa's (adding by crit chance) be worth? Would Statikk become her primary core, since Ashe's Q is based on her aa? Is she really weakened by the removal of her gold income with her E? Would her mobility still be a problem, since you know, the delays of her aa kinda stops you from running away still? Will Hawkshot be nerfed asap? Huehuehue

I know it's like really new info and not much has been revealed as in the damage ratios and stuff, but I think it's worth mentioning. Let's discuss about what she can become, how she could utilise her skills, and how her item builds are going to change.

**Edit: The stats of her skills have been announced. **

{quoted}

Passive - Frost Shots

  • Permaslow moved from Q to Passive.
  • Slow strength scales with character level
  • Ashe no longer has a chance to crit. She never crits targets that don't have her passive on them, but always crits targets that do have it for (math stuff below, since I know people will ask or be confused):
  • (TotalAD)x1.1+(TotalAD)x((CritChanceStat)x(1+(CritDamageStat)))
  • Let's say Ashe has IE, PD, and 200AD. Under this model, she deals 385 damage (200x1.1+200x.55x1.5).
  • With an IE and 100% Crit, she deals her ADx2.6 on targets with her passive on them.
  • Etc.

Q - Ranger's Focus

  • Ashe builds Focus stacks by attacking, up to 5 stacks.
  • When activated, she gains AS and her Passive slow is improved for 4 seconds.
  • If she consumed 5 stacks of Focus, her AA also transforms to a flurry attack for the duration, which is effectively additional AD
  • During the flurry attack, Ashe will Crit (from her passive) and Lifesteal, but will only apply on-hit effects like BotRK and Braum passive on the first arrow of each flurry attack

W - Volley

  • Mostly unchanged, except it does a bit less damage, has a bit lower CD early game, and has better blocking gameplay now (no more free damage through minion waves)

E - Hawkshot

  • Is now global and on ammo, but the recharge rate is longer than the old cooldown

R - Enchanted Crystal Arrow

  • Unchanged except for a small nerf where the area slow around the ECA target is now her passive slow rather than a 50% slow

basically she converts crit chance to bonus damage %

IE > BoRK is going to be her new core build. She gets the crit boost from IE's passive and she doesn't need to get over 50% crit to be useful. Assuming her new Q's triple auto attack procs on hit effects, BoRK is going to be AMAZING on her.

Yeah, as I see her damage on her Q, it seems pretty worth to still go crit on her. With BotRK, I dunno how much damage she'll deal.

Edit:

but will only apply on-hit effects like BotRK and Braum passive on the first arrow of each flurry attack

This seems reasonable enough. BotRK's gonna work, at least. If she did proc BotRK in all her aa's, it could've been a disaster. But she works anyway. Amazinggggg
