Bots issue (Not Co.op vs AI)

I don't know how to cancel the poll, please answer the survey that EMOFRATPARTY made below. Bot Encounters: A Survey

TL;DR: Bots are overtaking games and there are a lot of sites selling accounts.

I've seen that this has been an issue before, but today I felt the need to re-state this issue.(Now that I checked I see a recent thread on this- Now I know there's a lot of people experiencing this.) I don't know about many of you, so I included a poll as well.

So, usually due to my high ping, I play on EUNE. I've never been good, so I never get called a smurf. (Just fyi..) At EUNE, I've seen bots in some normal games, rarely in ARAM but never in dominion games. However all these bots ARE an issue. I mean seriously. Who wants to play with a bot player, when you do have AI modes!?

Today, while playing a dominion to check my ping out on NA, I got into a queue where everyone insta-locked but well, everyone insta locks in dominion. Then when the game started, the opponent's Azir asked everyone if who was human. I was totally confused, then by the silence I figured out that I was the only human on my side and they had two. All the others were bots. Player-made bots.

These bots never reply to your ping, they get executed because they stand near the enemy's turret, and they just stand on the turret they have dominated or on the summoner platform. Some of them buy multiples of the same items(Like two or three). When you check on their previous records, they have lots of 0/0/0's, especially in the previous 10~ matches.(I think that's when the bots are tested or somthing) I believe three others in my team were bots, and one of them was afk so it was a huge disadvantage, the opponent having two 'human' players.

I know that it would be hard to separate bots from real players. One of them were level 28. But I believe that there should be something done to stop these guys. They're not even well programmed as Riot's AI, and really, they are noooo fun to play with. If any bot owners are looking at this, please use your computers for a better purpose. Don't waste them(and your intelligent mind) on stupid bots who feed like hell and become a party pooper.

Edit 1) I just checked my previous ARAM game. Our team had won so easily. And yes, I figured out they were ALL bots. Well, dang.

Edit 2) Guess what I found! waves hand in air http://www.epicnpc.com/forums/160-League-of-Legends-Trade-Buy-Sell https://www.facebook.com/LeagueofLegendsAccountBuySell There are so many of these if you google "selling league of legends account".. By Riot not doing anything to stop this selling of accounts, I can finally confirm to myself that Riot doesn't care about the game anymore. There are plenty of sites selling accounts with a single google search that pops up, and I haven't seen any threads regarding this issue.

Please tell me if I am on the right board. Will move post if I'm on the wrong one :) Thank you for reading my long post.

Tons of bots EVERYWHERE!!! They make the game miserable. I have spent money on this game but will not put any more in until I can play w/o bot infestation. The first 1-1.5 months I never had a bot in game. The last 2 weeks or so, I have gotten bots in probably 75%+ of my games. This game is a lot of fun but this takes away from it greatly... Darius

Yes, I agree. I came back to NA after resting 3 weeks on EUNE- before that, most of the games were perfectly normal. I think something happened between those 2~3 weeks. Maybe it is something like a patch that made the game vulnerable enough to use it for bots.

Riot admitted they were aware of this over a year ago. Since then they have done nothing. A soon (tm) fix was promised, but so far nothing.

Man, botters just ruin the lowbie experience. Play a game with 0 runes/ few masteries and have 1 or 2 people just running in mid doing nothing. That ain't an easy game for those people to win, regardless of gaming experience/skill, plus limited champ choice.

I hope they do something to more easily report and handle those accounts that do such since it could really turn off the new blood coming to the game.

Hello Everyone Riot has been fully aware of the bot problem. At one point they were isolated in custom games and not bothering anybody other than riot (who could have come out with a better solution), instead they took ip/exp out of custom games. This forced botters to move into regular games.

Here is the thread from the old, better forums:

I've also been aware of this. However, I think there should be another way- earning ip/exp's from custom games are... really not a solution. They should start investigating on the 'selling account' issue first.

Bots ruin newbie experience, if you want this game to die then don't address it.

I don't see the connection. So bots do ruin newbie experience, but what does that have to do with the game dying??

i think the idea is

Bad new player experience --> No new players --> Shrinking player base --> Eventual death

Yeah, I think so too. But for the next part,

if you want this game to die then don't address it.

Then why don't I have to address it? Shouldn't players rather make this issue surface?

You seem to be ignoring the 'if' clause. Presumably you do not want the game to die.
