I've been playing veigar a lot frequently, but I've been playing him in normals, and not in rank. I just wanted thoughts on if he still is a strong mid-laner, and if you could give me any tips on how to play him. I love playing him!

Maximum Morde1 votesVeigar is still a solid pick. Works pretty well against rengar jungle actually. See the ! Cast a circle around yourself and he can't go in. For late team fights just stick with your adc and put circle around you both to force rengarbage to fuck off.

You just have to be a little more careful atm with more and more assassins going in to the mid lane who are gonna have early kill pressure on you. But once you hit the mid-late game you should have no problems instakilling that zed or LB coming at you.

I would recommend rushing 2 Doran's Rings into Morellonomicon. Combined with your passive, these will provide more than enough mana regeneration to let you quickly farm your Q-stacks.
After that, I would probably recommend building Void Staff into Rabadon's Deathcap. If you have been farming your Q up efficiently, you should be able to kill everything rather quickly, even some tanks.
