Ping and FPS.

Hi, guys today I got on to play league and my first game of today my fps was normal but my ping was very high.. It was like 200 for like 15 sec and goes down to 100 - 95. It usually use to be in the 80 to 90.... But it has been doing this today in both of my games. My fps also has been going down sometimes it will be like 3 fps and like 250 ping. Could anyone tell me a reason why this was happen? It has never done this before. Is it why because the season ended and they are going to be placing the new map online very soon? Please can someone help me. Thank you.

I have 210 ping today now as well... 100 more than normal and the 110 ping from a major NA city is sad too.

Ping is the measure of time it takes for your computer to contact Riot's servers and get a response (in milliseconds, ms).

If you have inconsistent ping try to make sure;

Not to use Wireless. Close any downloads/streaming videos Talk to people you may share that internet connection with (roomates/family etc.). Just make sure they are not hogging all the bandwidth.

As for the FPS, that indicates your computer is having issues rendering frames. This can be to overloaded frame buffers, full system memory or a maxed out processor core, really anything.

If your computer is struggling, make sure you run your game in "full screen" as this ensures the game is the only item within your frame buffer. Secondly just close any unneeded programs.

Most of the time, high ping is an issue with the player's local network (the one in your house). Frame rate issues are always related to the individuals computer.
