As long as Nasus is allowed to stack which is actually very easy for him to do considering his q is basically manaless, he will become a powerhouse even if he goes 0/7 because all he needs are stacks and then just to build tanky. He can be poked to death in lane but no worries as long as you can Q well then you will be stronger than everyone else. Not to mention his attack speed de-buff is bullshit against AA Top laners like Aatrox, Xin Zhao, Tryndamere and many more, as well as every ADC in the game (except Kalista).

The major issue with him is when he get's kills in lane and farm, then he is able to 1 v 3 or even 1 v 5 and to prevent this from happening either the top laner must stay in lane all game to prevent him from farming, or the jungler has to camp top the entire game just to try and stop him from farming.

He's too strong for ELO'S below Platinum where everyone just allows him to get 420 stacks in 30 minutes and then proceed to wreck towers in 1 shot, he needs some sort of nerf..

If nasus is getting solo kills in Lane, it's pretty much equivalent to your laner feeding hard. No one should be dying to a nasus in Lane...

This.

Sure, he can outsustain nearly anyone in lane (Hii renekton and Vlad) but he can also be forced out of lane early (Riven) for a clear advantage. You can also harass and proceed to zone him out, especially with a champ like Riven or Irelia who both carry a fair amount of CC to begin with.

If you can't figure out how to circumnavigate a Nasus, you probably don't deserve the win anyway.

Nasus is a champ who is great at freezing, when he freezes he can easily farm by his tower and he can easily have someone gank his laner while the lane is pushed, he has an excellent slow which would set his jungler up nicely and secure a kill.

As I said he can be shutdown in lane and still be extremely relevant at 30 minutes in the game regardless of his score.

Yes, he can freeze lane. Or, you could force the lane into his turret by harassing him down and asking for a jungle gank.

item 2043 + item 3340 + map awareness > jungle ganks. It's such a passive lane that you should be checking your map consistently. Really, you should be in any lane, but playing in this one gives you more than enough time and wiggle room to do as you please here. You can play smart, or you can let him be passive and play into it.

Want to shit on Nasus, play Riven and learn map awareness/proper warding. As soon as you hit 3, you have more than enough kill potential to absolutely shit on him and at 6, you should've already forced him out of lane or killed him 1-2 times in a standard low to mid elo lane. By then, you've already zoned him out from your frozen wave early from the sheer amount of CC you have combined with her passive - meaning you've harassed him down enough that you can now dive with your ult and e away with a kill.

Edit: massive drawback to Nasus: weak roaming ability from lane. You roam from lane, you lose farm and farm directly translates into his kill and pushing potential. You can shut him down early, snowball your lanes, come back and continue to shut him down with little to no help.

he can 1 v 5 probably 2 or 3 hours into the game or unless its in cardboard 7 where no one knows how to cc, peel and dogpile 1 dude

It's pretty easy to harass nasus and prevent him from q farming. His team also effectively fights 4v5 for the first 30-45 minutes before he comes in and wins 1v5.

If you can't win a match 5v4, or at least get a considerable lead, by that point then you've been outplayed.

I recently had a ranked game against a nasus actually, I was jinx adc. Our vlad top (who hard counters nasus) actually died several times solo in Lane, and we won in 40 min despite that. Of course, we won bot and mid pretty hard, but vlad also helped with dragons and some teamfights and we basically forced nasus to stop stacking in order to help defend inhibitors. We also 3-5 man ganked him a few times. He can definitely be shut down, and he's all but useless against cc (No gap closer, no escape).

It's not 4 v 5 for the first 30-45 minutes, it's 5 v 5 because if he is an "avergage" Nasus player he will have TP and will TP into fights. A bad Nasus would just farm for 30 minutes which is actually really dumb if your team needs you. Also stalling in a 4 v 5 is really easy with the right champs and if your team plays defensively.

Which as I said, effectively makes Nasus stop stacking in order to fight with his team. Not to mention TP has a fairly lengthy CD, he can use it once and then if you force another fight in 2 minutes he can't use it again. He also uses TP to occasionally GET TO a large minion wave in one of the lanes.

Either way, the idea is to harass him hard in lane to deny stacks by making him recall. Getting kills further reduces his stacking ability. Forcing him to join teamfights further reduces his stacking capabilities.

And on the last point - you're completely right. It SHOULD be really easy for your team to play super defensively. Just hug your turrets the whole laning phase and they'll hardly get anything off of you. Go ahead, try playing Nasus and convincing your teammates to not try to win lane. I've never seen a game where mid and bot play super defensively because they have a Nasus on their team. EVERYONE (or at least, almost everyone) wants to carry their fate in their own hands and will try to win lane. They'll over extend and die sometimes. If they lose their lanes, Nasus will likely lose the match. If they go even or win, Nasus will likely win unless your jungler shuts him down.

I think the point is more than proven when an early pick takes Nasus and a later pick takes Vayne. Why in the world are you picking a late game hypercarry like Vayne when you already have Nasus? You should be playing early/mid game champions to help your team survive until Nasus hits his power spike (or win earlier).

The fact that Nasus isn't played in pro games further evidences that he isn't too overpowered. I mean, the pros would be more than willing to play defensively and disengage if it meant Nasus would win the game. So if they don't do it, clearly there is enough counter-play to him (he notably gets wrecked by long term snares/cc, and has a huge hitbox when ulted).

I find it stupid that a champ can receive god mode status for simply afking by ignoring all team fights just to farm. It doesnt matter how hard you harass nasus or how badly he loses lane, all he has to do is farm, and voila he's able to carry his team.

Yeah, lots of champions can grow into unstoppable lategame powerhouses if they're allowed to farm a solo lane for 30 minutes. The difference with Nasus is that he's got no other playstyle, so it's more obvious, which makes it easier to counterplay, and he's pretty darn weak before 10 minutes (again, unless he gets to stack Q uninterrupted).

If the other team has a Nasus and your top laner doesn't play aggressively, I'm very sorry, but bad top laners throw games all the time. T'ain't Nasus's fault.

He doesn't need nerfs. A Nasus with no stacks is a wither bot. A behind Nasus can't even tank. Also, 420 at 30? That's hilariously low. And if you are dying to Nasus 1v1 in lane, before level 9 and his FH/Visage + Sheen, you suck.
