Nerf Nasus

Weak early game? What weak early game? Sits in lane and you cannot push him out because of all the sustain from potions and his passive. His passive is already stupid as it is anyway. At level 6 he gets sheen and wins the lane from there on. Ridiculous champion, but no. We at Riot Games need to buff him another 100 times before we realise how broken he is. Even Hashinshin yesterday said that Nasus is a stupid champion and if Riot buff him again he is going to scream.

In addition to what pyrosan said, the lane phase of the game is not the entire game (although many Nasus players seek to extend the lane phase as much as possible).

In teamfights, with his only natural method of closing the gap being a single target slow, he doesn't do so hot unless he manages to catch someone without the support of their team. A bare minimum amount of CC is necessary to keep him away from the delicate squishy while the team burns him down.

In teamfights with 41% cdr he perma spams W because for some fucking reason the cooldown starts on cast and not after and proceeds to two shot targets.

Still a single target slow. He has to walk up to the target to hit them. If the target is among their own team that means walking into the team.

because for some fucking reason the cooldown starts on cast and not after

Zilean's CD, the only other single target slow, also starts on cast and not after the effect ends.

and proceeds to two shot targets.

If he's two shotting tanks then you let him farm too long. If he gets to the squishy then he was positioned very well for him to dive in and start smacking them. Many other juggernauts would do the same to squishies that they manage to catch.

nasus literally cannot duel any champions apart from supports with any stacks less than 150 and even then he's still incredibly on the weak side

please post a clip to youtube of you laning vs nasus for the first 5 minutes and the boards (including myself) will be happy to tell you what you're doing wrong

nasus is shit you have to be shitter than nasus for nasus to not be shit and even then, he's shit

Small objection: There's some champions he just wins against early on.

There's no way a Yasuo will ever beat a semi-competent Nasus after level 5. Nasus just autowins that as long as he made some attempt to stack and didn't int early.

yasuo can snowball 1-5 enough to invalidate up until 8 then nasus wins 9 - 13, yas hits his spike then starts winning i believe

but ya there's certainly bad match ups something like poppy/sion into nasus which has 0 dmg to knock him off wont work either but generally speaking he's very easy to bully especially when you main Darius

i find bullying him to be borderline pointless, lol. Between his passive and potions he lives long enough to recall at lvl 6 and beyond(im usually oom by the time hes 6 lol)

his passive requires him to be hitting things for him to actually start regenerating hp you need to be pushed up beyond where his wave is and zone him from exp and minions while you're last hitting and gaining

IMO Bullying him is one of the best ways to counter him early. if you are good enough with wave management, you can bully him hard in the first few lvls then freeze the wave on your side of the map. He has no choice but to back to base because he is to low to overextend, if he is bold enough you can easily zone him off of the wave to deny CS, Stacks and EXP and if he stays you can coordinate an easy gank with your jungler.

If you have a reliable poke ability (like Teemo Q or E passive), it is extremely effective if you can consistently land it on him. Even landing one or two poke abilities in a row might make the nasus player play more careful and miss CS

Smart Nasus players still work around this by tanking 3 early levels into E to gain farm and exp without risking death from lane bullies. Yes your stacks aren't great but at least you can buy items to be relevant and get some stack later. However this almost demands the rest of your team plays well and you are not required to do tons of damage as a carry by mid game.

But that also pushes the wave hard into the enemy laner. Which a nasus wants to avoid if he/she wishes to be relevant in mid and late game. It opens Nasus up to get ganked hard by the enemy jungler and it makes it harder for the ally jungler to gank the enemy laner.

Well, Sion counters Nasus...

And Yasuo can't snowball enough to invalidate Nasus. Who's he going to snowball against? The jungler he can't do anything to? The mid he won't roam against because he'll fucking die? The Nasus who invalidates every last shred of Yasuo's damage by pressing W?

Nasus will invalidate Yasuo at every point of the game past level 2 by pressing W, and he completely ignores windwall with every single part of his kit. Yasuo is also forced to push against Nasus to do anything, which is exactly what Nasus wants to have happen.

All you need to do as Nasus? Don't int, and fight around level 5. You finally get to be the lane bully. A winner is you.

ehh there's a very human element which we can't predict here that goes into these matchups i don't see in what universe sion will have enough damage to kill nasus i thought he'd just be free farming grasp off him but the stats dont lie i looked up the matchup stats lol

yasuo players are too volatile to predict tbh

DuskDaUmbreon2 votes

Sion will struggle to kill Nasus, but Nasus also can't really kill Sion since Sion just locks him down, and Sion scales much better than he does. At least I'm pretty sure that's what it is? Idk I can't remember the last time I've seen a Sion tbh.

And while Yasuo players are volatile, Nasus players tend to be...less so. There's just nothing Yasuo has that can really do anything to Nasus, so Nasus simply brings the stat-stick and beats Yasuo's weeb ass with it. At least, after level 5 or so. Before then Yasuo will still win because Nasus has too little damage.

You're having Nasus lane against an escapeless, squishy, AS-reliant melee champion who isn't a lane bully. Yasuo is literally the perfect champion for Nasus to fight. You couldn't design a better matchup for Nasus if you tried.

i have a gripe with Nasus because the only real way to deal with him, is with an ADC after lane phase. Most top laners cant do anything about Nasus, he is immortal and you cant realistically stop him from farming. At lvl 6+ Sheen he does generally win the lane from there on out and theres nothing you can do about it, unless youre a Fiora maybe. My biggest gripe though, is that Wither is probably the strongest jungle/gank synergetic top lane ability in the game, and results in his "weak early game" getting guarenteed kills through freezing and casting wither while his jungler just runs at you(no need to even gank, just run it down the lane, since wither lasts basically forever)

Hes a bad champion that is too weak in certain scenarios and too strong in other scenarios. Theres really nothing inbetween. Hes just WAY too strong for the matchup or WAY too weak depending on champ select.

You nailed it dude, I'd like to nail your comment to Riot's front door.
