Buff / Small Voli Update
Hi guys,
First of all, I'm no expert in Volibear. I probably played something like 20 games on him throughout my career but I have a few ideas on how to buff him. So please don't hesitate to leave your opinions. What you'll see are multiple potential ways to buff him. I don't ask for everything to be sent on him at once.
Passive - Chosen of The Storm. • Reduce cooldown at level threshold (6/11/16) down to 30s at level 16. (90/60/30s) • After using an ability, his 3 next basic attacks are enhanced by lighting, giving additional damage up to 3 nearby enemies. • Damage done by the lightning are given back as heal to himself and his nearby allies.
I transferred part of his ult on his passive to give him some additional fight potential. An explanation to the second and third suggestion is present later on.
Q - Rolling Thunder • While chasing enemy champions gains Slow Resistance (or Tenacity) by X%. • Add some damage scaling (HP or AD) • Give him a bonus move speed scaling with champion's level (Rammus-like)
W - Frenzy. • Stacks deplete one by one rather than all at once. */!* This is probably the first change that have to be made on Volibear. From I remembered is the only champion left right now who loses all his stacks at once.
E - Majestic Roar. • Reduce slow duration, now inflicts grounded status to champion. → The fact that so many champions have access to mobility doesn't help Volibear at all. By giving him access to grounded it might help him a bit.
R - Thunder Claws. • Change/Add Scaling (for HP) •_ Grants passive constantly for 6/8/10 seconds, damage increase and hit up to 5 enemies (+2 compared to passive)._
→ About Thunder Claws and Passive. Volibear's ultimate is unsatisfying, it doesn't do that much damage and got AP scaling. By giving him a smaller window, I think we could bring some straight buffs - as you can see - from it. As a Thunder Demigod I feel like Volibear's should be able to smite his foes while empowering his allies through his lightning. I thought about giving AD/AP (specially through his "E-Majestic Roar") but power side it might be too much. And, since his passive is all about healing himself I thought "How about being able to heal his allies too?"
Feel free to leave your thoughts about it and discuss about potential changes.
