What's the best thing to do when lanning against Zed as Katarina?

From watching Stylish and playing Zed myself, I only have advice pre 6 xd

Poke him at levels 1 and 2 He has a good-sized power spike when he gets rank 2 on his q (level 4) He's vulnerable to poke every time he uses Q to cs (he will q to cs every time he knows yours is up).. beware his w-e response, though

dodge his q and poke him as much as you can early levels.

If he ever uses his shadow, combo him afterwards if you can. He loses a lot of pressure without shadow. Q > E > Auto > electrocute proc > back off is good enough. He cant really chase you without shadow. But dont do this when he has shadow up unless you're confident you're gonna dodge his stuff. just proc electrocute and leave the trade. His Q is on a low cooldown, and you can proc electocute faster than him.

He will probably build hexdrinker, so wait on a sorcs until after gunblade unless you just really want to roam.

At 6, if you instantly shunpo when he appears, it might mess him up. But if he's smart he can just hold his shadow, then follow you and you wont be able to jump anymore. So you want to wait for him to Q or shadow somewhere then jump away

punish him everytime his shadow and ult is down. As kat you have many resets so you don't have to worry that much about getting your ultimate up.

If you are playing a mage let them push in while you last hit. The less room they have to chase you the better. While they go to minion farm poke em down.

Buy cloth armor. Build it into Zhonyas or Ninja Tabi (Tabi especially for if they have a majority of their comp as basic attack focused champs). This is the pro strat for any mage going against an assassin champ like Zed or Talon that builds lethality.

Bait his shadow out, then smash him Fight him early when he doesnt have shadow so he cant proc electrocute
