"In the meantime, you can probably stop permabanning [Akali]." but why I still do.

As we witnessed Akali's one year over-due change land, we have told each other that we now have an extra ban available, but still it is not wise to let her through into pick phase. Such a hard nerf on such a bad winrate champ, Akali has been Leblanc'd and Olaf'd without any even CONSIDERATION for compensation buff.

We hated playing against her because she had next-to-no weakness, but now we WILL hate playing with her as she has next-to-no lane sustain and doesn't scale hard enough to become a relevant threat lategame. Save your LP with a ban that will help your teammates pick the right champion: anything but Akali.

As an Akali otp in ranked I stopped playing ranked for exactly this reason, I'll just stick to norms where losing doesn't affect my elo. Akali can't win games reliably atm unless you play her absolutely perfectly, and even then it's just better to play another champ.

I'll head back to ranked once those supposed compensation buffs in 9.5 drop.

I mean she still has some usefulness with fleet footwork. Like LCK pro players were playing her in their games. She's not gutted just because they removed a stupid stealth mechanic and took away pointless healing. I mean zed doesnt have healing and hes also an assassin and works fine. And akali is safer than zed...
