He's called a "Control mage" for a reason. He controls areas and fights. forces you to play around him rather than against him.

Zyra Illaoi Ziggs (To a certain extent but he's not as brutal as Zyra or Azir)

I believe he could be considered an Attriction based damage mage. The longer you fight him the worse it gets. Essentially he is kinda like a ranged magic damage dealing Marksman with his sand soldiers. At least that is what I think he is.
