Can Gangplank survive the jungle at all now?

Kinda want to try this out, used to do it a long time ago and kinda stopped since I found better options. But kinda want to see if this works still.

Or his he to fragile to effectively clear the camps?

He can jungle, definitely so. Just have to respect that he's a champ that scales and not one that can force level 3 engages on his own.

He can indeed clear, but it can be kind of sketchy at times.

Technically all champions can do the jungle I believes, just not well. A thing going against GP is he doesn't have AoE dmg, so his clears will be slower.

I saw a game with GP jungle and he managed to clear gromp, the two buffs and wolves even though the enemy toplaner came to harass him in the beginning and stole exp for the first level up. Anyhow, I don't know how well can he fare as a jungler. He has weak dueling potential after the first levels, so he can be easily counterjungled and can't counterjungle. His E gives a very minor movement speed buff (considering the dynamics of ganks) and his slow is quite underwhelming (a mere 7 % if you can get in the 625 range of his Q). Having blue, though, grants him seemingly endless sustain thanks to his W (which should be leveled to be relevant). Last, I don't like any of the jungler item upgrades for him. I'd say the best is the tanky one, but it's suboptimal imho and can't be rushed (or your ganks will be even worse then what they look on paper). I hope Riot will let us know asap if there's something in store for him T_T

The attack damage jungle item is good on him. Not ideal, but good enough. Build that into avarice blade, sunfire, finish shiv. then decide if you want to go rest tank or build a trinity then tank.
