No junglers released in over 2 years

If you go back and look at the list of champions released in order, you will see the last dedicated jungle champion released was Kayn. Back in summer 2017. Are they just more difficult to make or what? There was a period where Sylas jungle was playable but that's pretty much been nerfed to hell. Qiyana has a 39.9% winrate in jungle so its clearly not her intended roll. Come on Riot jungle is already bad as is it is at least give us some champions to play.

All the kiddos play right click outplay so we have to get those sick lcs outplays of adcs side stepping one skill shot and autoing a team down for a pentakill.

You can play Ornn, Sylas and Qiyana in jungle Also, before Kayn there were 3/6 junglers released, Taliyah, Camille and Ivern

Agreed, but another problem is... we need to rework a lot of jungle champs and items.

when riot try to make a jungler they make a solo laner. when riot try to make a solo laner they end up in the jungle. aphelios will probably be a jungler.

what i have noticed is that riot wants to make the game ridged, and they want to enforce a specific meta and role for champions. Camille was a good jungler, they nerfed her jungle, Sylas was a decent jungler, they nerfd that. i dont like it when champions are made for just one specific role, it makes the champion less divers to play and boring, what about having fun in this game ffs? this is why season 1 and 2 and 3 were the best, then the pro crap came in and the game went to hell.

I think it's because Jungle is not such preferable as a role in general. They'd maximise sales if the champion they made was either assassin , mage , or marksman.

3 champs have been released that can jungle, Qiyana, Sylas and Pyke. As far as dedicated jungler, 5 of the last 6 champs can play multiple roles. Only Yummi has like 1 playable role that makes sense.

besides if any rolse needs to complain about the number of champs released its ADCs, look how far behind they are in amount of champs used in each role.

Mid - 60 champs Top - 50 champs Jungle - 42 champs Support - 38 champs ADC - 19 champs (And thats including the new champ Senna......... and 22 if you include Heimerginger, Swain and Ziggs that people sometimes use.

Srr but riot wants more adcs to sell their skins. Jg is one of the least popular roles while mid and adc are the most popular selling most skins. I'm jg and kayn main myself and waiting patiently for a new jungler

I’m pretty sure the teased the champ after Aphelios to be a “juggernaut” (don’t quote me on that) however I’m not sure if they can be played in the jungle or not

In all fairness as others have mentioned that's because several of the most recent champions can jungle it's just not their primary role.

Although I'm not too worried about that either. Jungle is one of the more open lanes in the game in that you can jungle with a lot of things so long as they can clear and sustain their health bar. Jungle diversity is better than other lanes.

The pantheon rework was designed for top lane and jungle, with his jungle clear being buffed after it was subpar. This, to me, looks like a champion who is intended to be able to jungle, and thus, I’d say Pantheon is the most recent jungler. If you disclude reworks, and the frisky Sylas jungle business, then it’s been a hot minute since we’ve gotten a new jungle champion.

Next new champ will be a Jungler. They already leaked that. Also Voli Rework in Summer 2020 is designed for Jungle prio.
