Rakan Counter?

shuts him down hard, I've found. Just W him away before the knockup lands. The way his Q and E work, he wants to be close to teammates, which makes it super free to land combos.

dont play sustain supports like soraka against a rakan though, its not a good matchup

A Leona that knows how to use her E as a snare wall should be effective. She would be able to follow up and punish him while she's at it. You'll need to stand slightly to the side and throw your E perpendicular to his dash path. Should root him on contact. You'll need to know the timing tho. Timing is key.

probably things with counter-engage so they can punish Rakan for trying to use that dash-knockup.

probably Morg as well since she has black shield to block CC and a Q that roots for years.

Leona , Alistar, Morgana, Braum, most things really if played right, really. He has mediocre poke and only okay sustain.

Well disengaging support like Nami, Lulu,Janna works good against him, and since he needs to get close to his allies to share his buffs, it makes both him and his adc suitable targets angainst AOE damage, so Zyra and Brand are also an option, you can also cancel his dashes and ult with Zyra's root so she's kind of better than Brand in this situation, there's also fiddelsticks which all you got to do is Q him when Rakan shares his Q with his ADC, but it's not really a support. What else, um... there's also Alistar who can cancel his dashes with his Q or W, or Both at the same time. so that's pretty much all the supports I tried that seemed like counters against him. point and click cc supports, or complete harass supports. Actually, he might make a new and fun meta. Like Long time hardcore favourites like xerath, anivia and velkoz might come up as regular supports, or veigar, annie.

When i adc as xayah vs him, hes annoying, havent been adc today with anything else anyway, but when i jungled with elise or with heca, his dashes seemed pain in the ass, gotta try him out too a few games, because i already know a bit how to play vs xayah, cos i played her 3 games, but havent played rakan yet.

Need to learn his cds, ranges, speed and stuff, which is best learned when playing that champ.

I dunno about traditional supports as I haven't really tried any against him yet but works great.
