Support Need Help

There is no more important role in league that has almost 0 incentive to play it correctly. If a support does not build correctly or buy wards and pinks, it can totally , totally mess up the game for everyone else. Yes other people should buy wards and pinks as well, but it is a Supports main Job to do not only this but to build items that will help the ADC and teammates.

9/10 games that I lose it is because the support does not or will not do their job. They either pick a champ that has 0 support abilities, IE Heal, Stun, Shield, Slow, Fear, or they will build totally AP, AD and take kills from the people who should be doing the damage.

Rather it's a better itemization to make support items more desirable or the ability to report people for refusing to play their role, something needs to be done.

and yes, I play support a lot of the times, and yes I always get a sightstone, pinks, and I use them. I also buy items that affect my teammates to make them better.

I'm a support main, and yes it is every ones job to ward the map. Mostly any champ can be used as a support, majority of the champions has some form of cc even if they aren't the conventional support. I've used champions like Shen, Darius for fun just for change up but I'd never take them into a ranked setting.

However, what is your question or what do you needed assistance with because there no question in your post.

basically hes asking for some sort of incentive to ppl to actually play support... right now from what ive seen is that support is the role, along with jg, if you dont play perfectly you flamed. who would want to do that to themselves. i know i always make a point of letting the sup in my games know they are appreciated :D

I totally agree with this becausei play jungle alot in solo q and i am constantly blamed for lost games because i 'didnt gank'. jungle and support roles are the ones that are bullied all the time when actually all we try and do is try and keep the mid lane, top lane and adc from falling behind.

also, when your losing lane hard but another is even or a little ahead its sometimes better to help a lane snowball then to try and force a losing lane into an even one. ive jg a few times (by no means does that make me good at it) and when my midlaner was feeding it almost a waste to try and gank. yea walk thru a few times to let the enemy know your around then try and snowball top or bot, maybe try and counterjg and gank enemy jg. usually even if i tried to gank mid my laner was pushed out and really gave no chance to actually gank i would waste mana/cd's just to have enemy dash or stay under tower farming while i wasted time better spent farming or ganking a different lane.

Foxdrop also says that its pointless to gank a feeding lane, because not only do you waste your time but you give an opportunity to feed the lane more or give a double away. Snowballing top or bot lane is a lot better decision wise. Of course you don't want to hear the mid laner whine about not getting any help, just mute him honestly, he will live to see another rift.

I appreciate players like you that shows up support players so appreciation because it rarely happens. Even when big game changing plays are made the carries take all the glory. Lately however when I play my main, I do get recognition for doing well an getting my laner an team members fed.

Honestly though, I play support because I love the role, kills aren't important to me whereas making the plays that result in kills makes me happier. So I really don't need an incentive, recognition is enough for me. Plus if you give recognition to one role, either other roles will complain or the support role will become fully trolled an destroyed because everyone would want to play it just for the extras.

Just when you get fed as a laner an your support is making this happen, show them some love. The same concept with the jungler too.

my son got me into league about 3 months ago, he mains braum sup and i watched him play games when hes here for the weekend. you guys get no love.item 3070

Yeah its rather sad but its all good. I just do my job as a support an do what I can to set up a win. I also main Leona since I been playing league, which has been since mid season 4 an I still really love the role an all it brings to the table.

Im not worried about acknowledgment so much as improved game play for everyone. Im in Bronze 5 (yes I know I suck) but it seems like most times when I try to get out i get knocked back down by bad support, or at least supports who are not doing their jobs. Lux, Morgana, Nid, Sona, who all build full AP get no wards the entire game and KS the adc while taking ton of CS. They just won't play how the meta is designed to play.

we need to give these players incentive to play support correctly so they stop ruining the dam game for everyone else. Rather it's make Sight stones have Mana Regen also, or have wards placed as a recognizable stat, something needs done, because right now there is no reason for them to even want to use support items. They want kills, they want CS they want the glory, but they don't see that in not doing the role that either they choose or was put upon them correct that they are in fact messing the game up for the other 4 people, or they just don't give a shit.

I had a guy/woman/child last night who played a Sona support, was not even last pick, picked her to play support, went full AP with 0 wards all game, went like 1/12/8 and got our jungle and ADC killed over and over because she would not ward at all. As jungle I finally bout a sight stone but it was it was too late their adc was HUGE by that point.

Then after the match, i went to that person's history....he/she had done this in at least 10 games previous with Sona and Zil...all full AP build and all extremely bad KDA scores.

And that is just one example that constantly happens at low ranks, and it makes getting out of low ranks virtually impossible.

We need some reason for them to want to place wards want to buy Ageis or Frozen heart because right now they want to KILL KILL KILL.

Either change items , or make "consistently not playing assigned roll" a reportable offense.

For those people that play support an build damage, they aren't true support players. They either play it for a faster queue or they was late calling their role in champion select an they figure they would troll the game. So that doesn't bother me either because they have made themselves a big target because the gold flow for a support does not support the gold flow a carry so its real easy to exploit.

That's enough incentive for me, getting the win an feeling like a total powerhouse that made it happen. An as far as that player that played Sona & Zil maybe he/she is new an doesn't understand the role details or is just having fun an trolling. Maybe add them as a friend an ask an offer help or just move on to the next game. Things like this happen all the time an will continue to happen. In games its real easy to tell if your against a support main or someone just playing it because they have too. Use that to your advantage.
