@Meddler Mordekaiser's W, self-cast, will automatically bind to an ally if they get in range (QoL)
While I understand that Mordekaiser is supposed to be a duo laner, and his W is designed for such, I think allowing his W to be self-cast for its heal showed that you guys support those who want to try him in a solo lane. There's one problem with this interaction, however: if you self-cast your W, whenever an allied champion gets within range of the ability, they will automatically receive it.
This is a HUGE giveaway if you have an ally ganking your lane opponent, or simply flanking at any point in the game, as the W ally bind range is huge.
You might say "just don't cast W then" since it doesn't actually do damage when you don't have an ally with you. However, the heal it gives when popped (even when self-cast) is significant enough that you'll want to use it if fighting someone at melee range, and given that Mordekaiser now has the lowest base health of any melee champion throughout the entire game (as well as the lowest melee base armor at early levels), he is very prone to being bursted down when fighting.
I've played many, many games of Morde since his rework - mostly in top lane, but also in his new intended role in bot lane. Unlike many old time Morde mains that do not like his new state, I'm happy that Riot tried to change him, and I think you're going in the right direction with him and with all the other recently reworked champions.
I can tell you that I've had this issue multiple times where I'd pop my W instinctively in order to heal a bit when fighting my lane opponent, and it'd completely give away my jungler waiting in the bush for a gank. As I explained, you can avoid it by not using the ability, but I think it's unnecessary and likely unintended that this occurs the way it does. I'm certain it has to do with the fact that it'll attach itself to the closest enemy champion automatically WHEN you cast it - and that should be kept, as it makes it easier to pop it quickly in a teamfight without having to mouse over your teammate. But please, if you cast it with no other allied champions nearby, make it not attach itself if one comes into range. It feels weird, and usually has a negative impact more than it has a positive one.
