Why would anyone want to play a Diver this season?

I don't understand this suicide bomber type class. You're forced to go in and deal your damage, but you'll always die in the team fight because you don't have an escape (and defense itemization is a joke). Sure they might do buttloads of damageJarvanIV Pantheon Diana but a lot of them are so incredibly weak design wise and. Bring us the class update.

A lot of these divers come with the benefit of sustain in fights while forcing everybody to turn on them as they kill or peel off their carries. Sometimes they die, sometimes they live after the fight and do even more, or even destroy the whole team themselves.

Suicide bomber would probably be the accurate description of behind divers, which only use their utility not their damage. Ahead or even divers do a pretty good job carrying fights if they go for the correct target that wins the teamfight.

Alistar is probably the only good diver right now if you ask me.

Because it's exciting. Besides, a good diver does have that escape. LeBlanc and Sejuani, for example, are two of the best divers in the game and they have a way to get in as well as a way to reliably get out when things go wrong. It's all about how you play them.

Jarvan's best tactic for teamfights is to ult the carry, rip them apart, then banner out.

Pantheon with item 3044 and item 3009 can easily setup carries for a fall and then bail out before it gets too hot. He can repeat this as often as he pleases through the course of a teamfight.

Diana, with 45% CDR, can pretty reliably get in and out as well. Q, ult, shield, passive, E if need be to buy a second, Q on a minion, jungle camp or wary enemy champ, R. Hers is a little trickier because it requires timing and skillshots, but she can reliably get out after she dives.

Well stoneplate is basically diver item, you go in, use your full combo, then pop stoneplate as enemy team starts to collapse on you.

because its more fair than: go in, blow up the enemy squishy and then press your free get out of jail button and escape that very 'healthy' design rito has for assassins.

playing assassins that have to dive in the enemy lines and then get out alive by their own skill and ability not just "i press R, now i'm safe :3" gives way better feeling of being good at something.

And that's what I liked about pre rework rengar. About diana right now and even akali to some extend and pre rework fiora. it was very exciting and gave lots of adrenaline rush :3

and in my personal opinion. A WAY better design than "i pressed W and i teleported alllllllllll the way back at the start of the fight"
