Can we have a "Buy all champions" bundle?

Kind've like how Smite has the God Founder pack where you can unlock every god and future gods. With around 130 champions I figured it would make sense to have something like this. But instead of RP we could use actual money $$.

Edit: Smite isn't that young tbh..it came out 2014 for PC

Ehhh I think they can't do it for some internal reason. I say this because it doesn't even exist on PBE. on PBE it's like A-H pack & so on.

Also RP is there for legal reasons. For all rights and purposes, you are "renting" a currency. Not buying anything.

I have done the math on this in my "LoL purchases" Excel document:

Total champions (up to Rakan): 136 Total IP cost: 530550 Total RP cost: 106500

106500 RP ~ upwards of 610 EUR (using the EUNE 12575 RP bundle cost as baseline). 610 EUR ~ 684 USD.

But a bundle promising every existing and any future champions for an IP and RP price option could be a fun one. It'd be like those season passes - pre-paying for any released content within a set amount of time.

Personally, I don't have anything else to spend IP on (Chromas ain't cutting it), so why not make a bundle for any champion released within either next season or next year for, say, 25000 IP or 4500 RP.

It would cost RP cause you use REAL money to get RP. Not to mention if you have a champion in a bundle they discount the bundle a little. But i like this idea

The only reason Smite has the deal it does is because it's trying to jump start the game. League doesn't need something like that given it's already the most popular game in the world.

Smite technically loses money if that pack is bought, rather than spending the money-bought in game currency, then buying all the Gods Tencent would notice this immediately and say no

That sounds like Tencent, allright.

Bought the game; turned it into a cash-cow. Not EA levels yet, but getting there.

we all need to fear Tencent and that nightmare that Sesame Credit can become

This kind of thing only works when a game is just coming off of launch (although, i dont know if smite's is actually still avaliable)

in most cases, the game offering the bundle of every character forever only has a very small roster at launch, so the total worth of the bundle is actually relative to what it would cost to get each character

if league were to put one out now for say, $30 or something, the actual amount to buy each champion now is absolutely not worth it for Riot to sell them and all future characters for that much

its meant to draw in players and keep them invested in a game's early stages so it can grow almost always as a limited time sale, or a "Founder's Pack"

Smite is still doing it with 88 gods rn.

Real reason why they axed the RAF system - they figured the playerbase was sufficiently large enough for them not needing to be reliant on bribes to get more players anymore.

Instead of having it for ALL champions, how about we have it for champions that are placed in a certain category, based on their kits and overall purpose. For example, a mage pack, fighter pack, assassin pack etc..

You would get people who actually have a valid excuse not to play their autofilled role...

InivtesPreeze2 votes

Good.

Autofill is fucking stupid.

Mig893 votes

Autofill is better than what we had before.

PrinceOfStorms3 votes

Autofill is a cancer on this game and should never have been implemented.

PaladinNO5 votes

And cancer is a word too serious to be used so lightly.

Whats the better option? Have longer queues and or more unbalanced games?

YOUGOTKILLEDBRO1 votes

I would love to see this, but riot would only do it for like $500

It's.... It's the ultimate god pack...

King of Mongoose1 votes

it would cost a lot of money

I don't think we need it. While smite has 88 gods, their favor (smite's equivalent to IP) is earned more slowly (passively) and there are no free promotions for gods besides just paying a lot and unlocking all of them.

With league we get free skins and champions through hextech. Our IP gain is relatively higher in addition to first win of the day bonuses (which is more than the daily login favor except maybe the 5th day's and is available daily), and not all champions cost the same which makes pricing awkward while smite stays consistent so there's a clear value.

Are you sure you play Smite? Favor in Smite is earned WAY FASTER than in League. The Goodwill bonuses, every game mode has a win of the day, the quests. I can't believe you actually said Smite currency earning rate is slower than that of League. League has a shitty IP earning rate, it takes forever to save 6300 IP, in Smite you can earn a lot of favor very quickly.

Tormentula1 votes

I still feel smite to be a longer to grind favor for. Yea there's quest to do, and goodwill bonuses, but they require you to actually do them/have the bonus. (also gods are cheaper)

I often bought a 6300 champ every 5 days until all of them were unlocked, and still some of them I bought in 2-3 days by rerolling 3 champ shards. (emphasis on that part, which makes unlocking league champions way faster)

Smite was about the same with the gods being cheaper, with the same playrate as league during the time. While doing every quest and doing a week's worth of login bonuses. You do more for your favor with similar gain.

Aamano2 votes

I have the opposite experience I earn tons of IP without even noticing, because league is my primary 'zone out' game its the game i play when i shouldnt be

I buy 3-4 rakans/xayas with the ip gift, and next thing i know im back up to my old insane ip amount

i dont play smite nearly enough to get all those bonuses getting all of the fwotd and quests and stacking goodwill feels like a huge chore especially if you're purposely doing it for the favor

i have the all gods pack and it takes me a very long time to get enough favor for a recolor or something

Myrkrvaldyr1 votes

You answered yourself, because you basically play League more. In Smite favor is earned a lot faster because of the things I mentioned. Besides, there's no chore in Smite, all it takes to maintain the Goodwill bonus is NOT to afk or dodge, easy peasy. Goodwill never decrease as long as you don't afk or dodge. Smite often gives weekend bonuses, Riot, on the other hand, rarely gives party bonus. IP takes a lot of time to save in League, unless you spam ranked, which nets a bit more than the other game modes.
