Lost 2 games then won 3 games in a row

Can somebody please elaborate, I don't understand the technically side of any of this.
ValyrianBlade1 votesBasically your mmr is lower than your division so it's correcting itself. You're playing with players in lower divisions than you, so you're expected to win, meaning if you win you don't get as much and if you lose you lose more.
I'll use myself as an example. I just started ranked this year. I went 8-2 in placements and got silver 1. I then lost 6 straight Games, won 1, then lost 2 (Bad teams, what can you do). Anyways, after 6 losses I got demoted to silver 2 75 Lp. My win granted 13lp, the next two losses cost 23 and 25LP. I'm losing more than I'm winning because I'm silver 2 but playing at silver 4 mmr.
