How is this 'fair'?

We get a Heimerdinger ADC with cleanse/smite, and someone who threatened to feed if they couldn't get jungle (which they didn't) in ranked match. Heimerdinger is locked in, and the feed-threatening prick has chosen Anivia "top" with smite and clarity.

I dodge the match, taking the equivalent of a loss due to a pair of toxic players threatening to make me go through the motions of an agonizing 20-45 minutes of being dominated. I look at my timer, and what's this? I have to wait thirty minutes as opposed to fifteen. It's increased since last I tried to dodge a match ALSO full of obvious trolls/butthurt players. The current system has not only punished me for doing what any sensible individual would do, but it has also doubled the punishment value each time. I now incur a loss penalty, and am forced to wait thirty minutes before potentially finding another pair of trolls to force me into playing their game.

You're telling me that with all of Riot's resources, they couldn't develop a system capable of justifying queue dodges when there are obvious troll builds?

I've won as Lulu mid with Quinn jungle and Heimer top.

Not just a win. A complete stomp. A massacre that lasted 30 min only because the squishiness of our comp fed them false hope.

Okay? What about intentional trolls/feeders? You've given a single story about how you once carried a game with either players trying to break the meta or trolls - but it doesn't matter either way. For every story of somebody carrying, you have, statistically speaking, a gross amount of players wasting time losing matches because they can't pick up the weight of having two useless players in two lanes separated by half the map. It's not entirely unreasonable to assume that you're in for a horrible time when there are two non-jungle smite trolls/butthurt feeders prepared to aid the enemy team in winning by being useless/feeding.

Lulu can mid all marksman can jungle, quinn in particular would have better ganks than most marksmans to and heimer destroys most/all top melee picks

Simple solution with step by step instructions:

  • you dodge
  • system asks the reason
  • you have a few reasons to choose from:
  • Personal Emergency
  • Trolls
  • Something else that Riot sees fit to use as a reason
  • if you select Personal Emergency, you get punished on an increasing basis (such that it would dissuade abuse)
  • If you select Trolls, then your champ select chat is submitted via the system to be reviewed, and you're not immediately punished.

Now then, if you select "Trolls" and Riot determines there were no trolls, then you would receive a 7-day account ban (no reason to have a lighter punishment).

If you select Personal Emergency (the first time) you get a minimal punishment (say, 2 minute penalty and maybe 1-2 LP loss for ranked). If you utilize this reason multiple times simply because you don't like your team comp... Then the punishments escalate up to the point of eventually receiving a 7-day account ban (let's be real, if you dodge 30 times in 1 month... you probably shouldn't be trying to play...).

One of the problems with this is the sheer volume of situations in which you could be justified in choosing that option. Unless Riot can make a very sophisticated chat analysis system, they're going to have to be reviewed manually, which is very labor-intensive and probably costly for Riot.

There you go, you just answered your own question...

"Why hasn't Riot made something to fix this?"

suggestion is made

"That would take WAY too many man hours, or would require INSANELY sophisticated software they don't have (so they'd have to develop it), and would likely be WAY too costly for Riot."

Glad we had this chat.

Ah! So instead of saying "well then we should try to produce an automatic system capable of recognizing trolls" you're content with giving up and saying that because they don't want a manual system and an automatic one is difficult, that we should not complain about Riot making no effort to actually develop one.

No, I'm saying that it's not likely to happen, or that it will happen in due time. Either way, your complaining isn't going to make it happen any sooner.

Actually, board/forum complaints have been effective in causing Riot to change things quicker in the past because it calls to their attention the needs of the community. If enough players agree with the OP's plight, then it gives Riot an idea of what to prioritize.

I don't see anyone agreeing with you... so, again, your complaining won't fix anything.

Again, check out #EastCoastServer

not difficult, impossible.

it's not the equivalent of a loss. you lose a little LP but your MMR is much more important and isn't affected.

Just because someone is playing against Meta doesn't mean they are a troll.

Stop crying and play the game. Or don't.

EffectFX1 votes

Dodging isn't the equivalent of a loss.

There really isn't a way to develop a system to recognize when someone is going to troll/feed before the game has even started.
