TO RIOT: Is Zed supposed to kill tanks?

All the other AD assasins are weak vs armor, but Zed builds full armor pen + BORK and gets free AD from his passive. I don't know why is he allowed to be so good vs tanks - he has no weakness aside from the cleansing of his ult/Zhonya (he can still kill you with the abilities, if you are alone). Safe laning, manaless, poke, waveclear, still builds AS and takes towers fast. The other AD assasins were kind of balanced with nerfs (Yasuo, Kha, Talon, Nocturne, Shaco), Zed gets AS nerf... This is hipocrisy similar to the "balancing" of Fizz - you destroyed his dmg, then released another AP assasin with more utility and similar burst to the pre-nerfs Fizz + better AOE dmg.

Because he is completely reliant on his ult to get rid of targets during teamfights. It's on a 60 second cooldown, so if he fails to kill them then he's useless for the next 60 seconds. It's the same reason item 3157 screws him so incredibly hard.

Most good zed players just use the ulti as a gap closer in teamfights and thus this statement is wrong.

Second Zed still has good harass and damage without ulti and it barely makes most of his damage.

If a zed is reliant on his ulti he's probably just a bandwagoner and doesn't actually understand zed.

This isn't saying zed is deserving/undeserving of nerfs but saying zed is reliant on ulti is the same myth as saying malzahar only works in low elo/can't do anything without ulti or galio can only work vs mages.

Yasuo is better at killing tanks than Zed is. He can build the exact same armour pen items as Zed and BotRK, and also halves the bonus armour of his ult targets.

I've never been 1v1'd by Zed as a tanky bruiser who also has burst. Darius rips Zed's head clean off his shoulders, so idk man. What tanks is Zed killing?

Tanky bruiser is different from a full tank. As far as I know, no full tank besides Malphite would be capable of 1x1ing Zed.

I've done it as Dr. Mundo, building full tank.

His damage against me was embarrassing, and at the end of the game he tried to ult onto me (I was basically standing on top of our ADC so I think he misclicked). It was funny. Laned against him too. Wasn't too bad, just farmed with cleavers.

Singed can also duel Zed, depending on how loose your definition of "duel" is.

Nasus can build full tank and casually duel Zed.

Cho'gath is a stronger duelist as a tank if he builds for it. Also probably stronger AP, due to his high burst and survivability.

Volibear can probably beat Zed in a duel as well.

Shen at full build can do it casually.

Sion maybe.

Volibear cant At least not if Zed has 4 items or more I had deadmans sunfire ninja tabi a spirits a titanc hydra and he easy 100-0 me with his combo + a few aa took him about 3 seconds to delete 4.5k health with 220 armor

Mundo is a bruiser, singed isn't so much a duelist tbh it's more of a chase at your own risk, nasus is a bruiser, cho is more of a skill matchup but yea I agree with cho, voli is a bruiser actually although out of all bruisers leans towards tank the most due to his bodyguard potential, yea shen is an awesome duelist <3, sion is more of a skill matchup tbh.

You forgot maokai and zac though :/

Maokai, shen, zac, rammus can 1on1 zed easily as well.

Others are mostly skill matchups/situational

Hypocrisy in balancing Fizz was them nerfing the shit out of him, then after few patches bringing him to the same state he was before them with minor differences (lack of grevious wounds, DFG effect on ult lowered Q ratio) and then saying he's OK.

He got nerfed for a good reason, but Riot created another cancer in the process and once they couldn't balance that one out, they decided to bring the old one back.

You ask why a champion that builds 2 armor penetration items and 1 item designed to kill tanks... kills tanks. You are the hypocritic one here.

PS. Yasuo is a crap, not an assassin. Talon isn't balanced. He roflstomp just as hard as before, people got thrown off by his silence removal, but he has like the highest winrate of all assassins ATM. I wonder why.
