why should i be scared of swains ult? what is his ult true job?

just curious on what threat does swain ult have. is it the dmg? is it his sustain? is it his bonus hp? idk maybe i am missing something but do i even need to run from it.

i thought his ult was kinda like karthus e so i would go into the fight doing bunch of aoe dmg then if i survive i unleash a nuke. his ult tbh doesnt even seem like a ult it just seems like a badass E or W. unless his ult is not meant to be used for dmg but for his sole defensive tool or just to sustain in lane?

I mean a Demonflare (the nuke) with 5 soul fragments has a 1.35 AP ratio in a pretty huge aoe. That's not nothing.

His ultimate is mainly for extra durability until the end to be honest. Then, if you got soul shards, it's a pretty decent nuke.

Missing already the old Ult when you just needed to clear a huge wave and open that damned less than 20 seconds cd ult with a higher damage and more healing than the new one , oh and don't forget the new one requires you to have souls to do its best with a very f*** high cd

All of the above, I like to think of it as the 1v2 or 1v3 button (though it is good in duels of course). Champion is going to be bonkers next patch and people actually want him buffed lol.
