How to improve amumu?

So I feel like Amumu needs to be updated, he pretty much canbonly engage and if he misses his q he's done. I have two ideas to change him.

  1. Make his q so that it can target allied champs. This allows him to peel better for his team.
  2. Make his W so that when it is active it can heal allied champs in a smaller range then it does damage. Obviously since it also does damags this heal would be small but I think it would be useful. Also, the mana cost may need to be raised. Say your adc is getting dove by the enemy. You could q to him, pop your W to heal him, and ult to peel the enemy team and allow your adc to reposition.

These ideas are rough, but implementing one or both of them I think would improve amumu for the better.

I don't know why you would think allowing him to fumble -more- Qs would make him better at peeling.

In general these are bad ideas.

Idk, normally I hit my q's... Care to explain why they are bad instead of just saying they are bad?

I think Amumu is one of the healthiest tanks in the game, his Q misses are punishing - purely because if he lands it, it's a stun, if he follows with his ult another stun... someone can be effectively standing still for over 2 seconds doing nothing if he lands it... and if the laner has a stun also... OP.

he's op and how do you miss his q? its so long with such a dodgy hitbox

I usually don't miss if. I'm not arguing against him being op. It's just he has one type of play style, and was hoping to change it up.

you have to have some simple champs mind, for the wider player base and people new to the game.

I missed a Q with him once and Blitz took the opportunity to laugh at me so I flash ulted and we scored an ace.

But in the setup for a teamfight it's okay to miss one or two or 4 Qs - what's the enemy going to do, dive you so you can ult? Just his presence is enough to make enemy teams think twice about engages so you should have several Q opportunities.

Miss a Q on gank? Clear a camp and come back. Not like the enemy laner is going anywhere. People tend to think a failed gank is the end of the world, but mumu's failed engage ganks literally don't hurt anyone. He just backs off and tries again later.
