Jungle help?

I've recently been trying to jungle as shyvana and it's becoming frustrating how the other team's jungler is seemingly everywhere while I try and make aget through a path to each lane. It's not easy to gank pre level 6, and when late game arrives I feel I don't have enough health to really be effective. Please don't say anything about how my choice of champion is weak or needs to be reworked.
