Riot, what are your plans for Kindred now?
Their winrate has dropped by nearly 5% since the rework went live, and /r/Kindred has been having a field day on how to best build them, with the strongest build currently being an Ivern-like one, where you essentially don't finish your jungle item in favor of rushing
and building into standard crit ADC items like
, because Kindred really is just now an ADC. (But even then, Graves and Twitch jungle are much better alternatives)
I'd honestly like to know what you're planning on doing next, since atm the only "buffs" you're shipping to Kindred are:
- Base AD increased by 3 (which is actually fairly decent)
- E mana cost lowered by 20 (nobody had a problem with mana costs, so not surprised that nobody cares too much about this)
- Wolf's dash speed in W increased, slightly increased duration when casting from range (faster speed is good, but nobody cares about a slightly higher duration. The W itself lasts 8.5 seconds, so unless the slight increase is actually 0.5 seconds, what difference does it make?)
In addition, Kindred has problems that need attention.

Kindred's old % hp damage helped against non-squishy targets. With its removal, they're essentially just an ordinary ADC, making

once again the only tankbusting ADCs. -
Kindred relies too much on getting stacks, as any competent jungler can deny them marks in the earlygame (which is Kindred's weakness). Kindred's mid/lategame power comes from their marks and items, and given their low base stats, it's difficult if not downright impossible for Kindred to contest the marks when their earlygame is poor and their base stats are poor.

Kindred's only CC is in their E, which is now an execute. Because Kindred's E now deals missing health damage, every Kindred player is forced to either use the E for its CC early during a gank (effectively wasting the missing health damage component), or save it when the opposing player is low on HP to (hopefully) score a kill. (IMO this could be easily resolved by making it so the affected enemy has the slow from Kindred's E refreshed every time that Wolf attacks the affected enemy during Kindred's W.)
