unless you have a or in a fight swain is literally unkillable and down right ridiculous. i just went a game were he just face rolled all of us because no one had those 2 things mentioned. his damage plus sustain was too much to handle we would waste all our spells on him because we basically had to. just to have him heal it all back in a matter of seconds while melting even our tanks just by walking.

i get that it's not too bad in most situations. but he heals too much for the damage that ult does. basically as soon as he walks up to an adc or a top laner they can't do anything because he out sustains and damages them. unless you have an AP mid laner you are down right screwed against him

Edit: you don't wanna focus him in team fights most of the time because someone like the ADC does more damage but when he melts you by getting to close he Zones the entire team forcing you to get poked to hell.

if you have a mana mage on your team, item 3165 is pretty standard. As well as is summoner 14 for just about every mid laner and even many top laners.

A champion is not "OP" because you refuse to build against them. He is heavily mana gated and will quickly go oom. The only time I find a Swain "unkillable" is if he is extremely ahead, which again means that Swain isn't the problem---you are.

i never said he was OP i was just saying it needs some thought on it because for other non ap mana mages in the game he can destroy them all he has to do is play safe in lane get a mana tear and catalyst and he is set for mana

You see a swain/mundo/vlad, etc, you take ignite :P that's a basic rule :)

Swain actually has a rather weak early game. He becomes unkillable after he gets

enuogh mana to keep his ult on to heal all the damage
Has enough damage to leech off to heal from
Possibly Spirit Visage or any item that ups his health regen
enough bulk to stay alive from bursty champions so he can heal before dying

Before the above 4 criteria hits, he is really really really easy to kill :)

That's why you don't let a swain scale :0

the only problem is that most matches go from 30 to 40 minutes it's literally almost impossible to stop him from scaling by than for some crazy comebacks

that isn't true ~~ once lane phase is over, if he is really behind, it's rather hard for him to split push let alone farm. The only way he could possibly come back is if he was left alone and farmed and farmed and farmed.

Swain is a very item based mage where he needs the $$ to buy items in order to be a problem.~

All you had to do is to just deny him farm, scale OFF him with champions that could carry easily, fight him with he is oom or simply just burst him when he is alone. :) easily a dead swain

all of what you said is true. my main complaint about him was simply when it came to team fight situations than he becomes a problem. so it all comes down to if the one who is laning against him can win and if he doesn''t there is basically no coming back from that.

Had a Swain go against me as Garen... needless to say, he lost... very hard. If he can't snare you he goes oom very quickly and if you buy MR he's neutered completely.
