So the OverWatch Open Beta has FINALLY come out. With almost all my predictions of how good it'd be... being correct!

Is it me, or is it a BIT strange that a $60 is, more engaging, more respectful of your time, a much better community (there's still shittalking, just FYI), and much more FUN (I know Riot hates that word right now) than a $1175 game like League of Legends (yes, you may laugh at me now)?

Even if you hate OverWatch (for whatever reason, probably because you haven't played it). I think anyone would definitely pick getting a massive killstreak with RoadHog rather than being 1 shot by Zed.

Well heres the wonderful thing about gaming. There are so many games to play. Find one you enjoy and go play that. You obviously dont like league, so why "torture" yourself

Why care so much? You obviously have the massive fetish to act like a parent. I'm just saying that League has gone down in the dumps and it's sad that a $60 game, made by a company only slightly less famous than Riot, is kicking ass, and Riot should notice this competitor.

Nah, DOTA 2 has a significantly smaller community than League, and somehow achieves more toxicity.

It's a new game and people are understandably excited about it, that doesn't make League any worse. Get over your "new game so exciting" attitude, why did you even come to the boards about this?

I've been playing the Closed Beta for well over a few months, so it's obviously not "new" anymore, not to me, at least.

And yes, it DOES make League worse, because Riot is one of the largest game companies in the world, and they've focussed so much on E-Sports and left their own community, gameplay, and core values behind in the dust.

I go to the boards because I'm telling you guys that you got one game cheaper and yet better than League. And yet League makes a shit load more money than most Blizzard Games currently, and yet they keep spending money on improving E-sports rather than improving their own game. Doesn't that send some alarm bells?

Overwatch is a FPS, League is a MOBA. They're completely different types of games... Why on earth are you comparing them?

overwatch is the fps' answer to maba's in my opinion so maybe that. doesn't really matter anyway.

What do you mean $1175? For me, this is at most a $200 game or so. After 3 years. I'm not hating on either game, but only really old veterans should have payed over $1000 on LoL.

Hmmm.... I'm almost at a year and apparently I've spent $435 already (roughly $35 a month). I'll admit roughly 20% of that was gifting.

Not at all. I'm just tired of Ekko, Zed, Graves, Quinn, Malz, Blitz, Fizz, Yi, Fiora, and Volibear dominating the game with Riot doing nothing to fix them, nor addressing most of the core problems with the game (except Yi, Fiora, and fixing the death timers and tower health slightly)

  1. I'm just saying that Riot needs to step up their game development, because they really let go of the entire game: -20 champions being completely broken (Zed, Quinn, Graves, Ekko, etc.) -6 total bans, -No solo Q
  2. Well, the Open Beta's gone, and I have to wait for 2 bloody weeks of painful Zed and Graves lane ganks.
