I mean, Riot said he would be treated like how Cait was with the ADC changes, just a small buff or two with increased QoL.

Yep. The reason they put Vel'koz as one of the "big six" is because they're creating new assets for this rework, which means up to a couple abilities changed. This will be much closer to Caitlyn's rework than than Poppy, or Morde, or Fiora.

Think of Shen's rework; they acknowledged that some parts were outdated or stale (his Q and W), and changed those, without changing what people really liked (and was healthy for his character), that being his taunt and his ult.

Guess OP didn't read the thread where Repertroire talked about the direction changes. Shame.

Even so, Some people actually don't like the new Shen. Keeping tabs on the spirit blade feels like a huge chore even if it's not difficult. It's not so much boring to play him as it is just tedious in my opinion.

Riot just stated he would be receiving small changes and some QOL improvements to his kit. (Kind of like Caitlyn )

Vel'koz has no place in the game as it is. Not that he's a bad champ or his kit is weak or anything. Other mages just do his job better for the most part. His unique niche is basically just an AP poke support. It's not like they're doing a full rework. They're tweaking him so people have more of a reason to play him and give him a more distinct identity. I'm just hoping the give him a little bit of safety and maybe value to his passive. His abilities look and feel awesome for the most part.

He's part of the "Mage Rework" but he's not really getting reworked. It's more like, the project's title, with him being part of it. His changes are supposed to be minor compared to the rest, like Cait's.

No really, this. I want old Fi back - NO ONE KNEW SHE EXISTED and I knew how to play her in any role (like Jinx). Now I gotta relearn how to make her jungle/mid/support (but i can adc/top...kek).

This will give you an idea.

They don't think his whole kit is garbage, or anything. They just want to 1) give players a specific reason to pick Vel over other control mages, and 2) make his kit more exciting (his W in particular is pretty meh).

MonkeyKing <_< ... well... you know... if they want to make a few minor changes here and there, I say go for it... as long as his kit is about the same, at the most nerf some stuff to compensate for a second passive I think I'd be fine with it. Though with there is no Garen -tee with any rework and how it will turn out. Might go as well as Graves . Might force him into a certain role like Skarner or Mordekaiser . Worst case scenario is he ends up like Cassiopeia or where they nerf/buff 'em every patch for 4 months and forget about him :L

NO, NO. We do NOT need him to become another Fiora , even more since he has more disengage and his normal passive makes him naturally tankier than her. Wukongs my main and all, but the LAST thing we need is more % max health true damage... well maybe not the last thing, but it's definitely high up there O_o

i think he deserves it,right now he's just a damage machine,everything you do is damage and you're balanced around damage. I know some may like doing damage but i personally prefer a bit more indepth character since he feels so bland outside of ult 5 men

Hating intensifies I really like Taric. The rework is not necessary. One time, I decided to play a game with 3000+ ping JUST BECAUSE I enjoy him that much. Level 9, lag gone, 3 items, and DUMPSTERS a level 14 riven and half of her team by kite and when I all inned I knew 1 could be killed and 2 would be by thunderlords. I proceeded to EWR with no autos and spell vamp w/ ap Taric, got a triple, and another. He is very enjoyable if you know the right builds and masteries. RITO HE DOESN'T NEED REWORK WHY
