Low risk High reward champions.

Hello G&B. First of all I want to clear things up-I did now get pwnd by such champs and came to cry(not last month at least). Imo low risk high reward champions are bad for this game, since they can change a match dramatically with just pressing Few buttons without taking risks or mechanical skill. These champs are recommended to new players, and are easy to play(I don't mind that) But shifting SO much power into them, you don't get to feel the reward(let's say I'm amumu main which I'm not, having 100+ games and here the enemy amumu picks amumu 1st cuz he forced jungle, and feeds horribly but changes the game)as an expirienced player when playing these champs. I don't mind them being easy to play, but even if you are "noob, feeder, worthless scumbag piece of trash who deserves to be on the street like the degenerate you are" You can turn the tide so easily, and I do t think that's healthy. Certain champions like these are on my h8 list: Amumu Annie Chogath Garen Malphite Maokai and some more. I don't yell NERF PLZ or something like that, but I really want a @Riot dude to join the discussion like Meddler. Ps-Downvote me my body is ready

They are only low risk high reward in low elo, well barring Annie I guess (and maybe Garen but I am not entirely convinced).

The true low risk high reward would be someone like Yasuo, Thresh, Lee and yeah, those guys.

EDIT: Meant to say "low elo" accidentally typed "high elo" lol

funny all those champs feeds/are useless when someone in my team picks them. They need some practice and skill to be good with unlikely of the champs OP mentioned.

OP is a measurement of power. Skill is a measurement of commitment and mechanical gating.

Those 2 should not be confused in champ balance, which a lot of players and even Riot themselves do.

if lee yasuo would be nerfed they would be high risk no reward.

That's entirely to do with their fail design and balance philosophy, the first step would be to reduce their kit sizes and that's pretty much the only way.

There is a reason I heard that the famous tough-as-nails-to-use Invoker from DotA got reworked when they went from 1 to 2. Because they found that there is no way to balance him due to his sheer gigantic kit size, they could nerf the numbers and he'd be useless as drag or they could keep him as he was and he'd be OP as shit like he was in DotA.

And that's a good move, because their balance group actually realises that a champ's difficulty holds no actual water at all in the balance scene, only their capabilities and power do.

I think Riot should take note from that, and reduces the amount of nuances some of the champs have, before they dive further into balance.

Similar to how a Yi who can rek doesn't simply mean the champ is OP, people sucking at a champ do not make them UP.

Thresh is a low risk high reward champ through and through, his only risk is his player sucking due to the vast amount of options in the kit and having trouble choosing one for the situation but that has nothing to do with the champ at all. The champ themselves are still top notch, or a bit too top notch.

Most of these follow the I-Stun-U-Die mechanic Riot has been (somewhat) removing from assassins. But yeah, Annie and Garen are still a sore point.

Look on the bright side: there's no more Sword of the Divine, so people like me can't play Assassin Garen Mid and win with it :p

Amumu is not an easy noob champ unles your enemy is an easy noob who doesnt know how to destroy amumu

Its like nassus u let him farm for free first 15min than complain hes to easy cua all he has to do is q

TyroneWatermelon1 votes

That's the point. No matter how much you destroy amumu,he will still have the same impact(of course, less damage) on the game

no way you can easilly shut him down just be sure not to make the game last 30-40 min but end it asap because hes a late game champ he wil get strong cause he wil farm and in time he wil just be to strong

you can easily end before this time
