So about Sion.

I don't hate Sion nor do I hate fighting against him. But his teamfights are gigantic, and at full build he can solo the adc apc and jungler at the same time. No Joke. Here was my build on Sion against Graves Talon Anivia Rengar Nasus.

item 3269 item 3110 item 3071 item 3074 item 3065 item 3075 summoner 4 summoner 12

With this set up and about 200 minions farmed, I have 4k HP, 300 Armor, 160 or so MR, and 300 AD. My Q does 800 damage. 800.

I'm not saying he's godtier, because early game he's easy to beat, just dodge the q. But im saying he's huge late game, especially in teamfights.

But the whole point of this thread is to find out everyone elses opinions on Sion, wether he's broken, or balanced. Discuss.

Sion main here.

I usually build full tank sion because most of the time you have enough damage without ad items. (and you're tankier, duh)

In lane, sion is easy to gank if he doesn't pay attention, and it is really damn hard to cs under turret with him. Your early trading is not very good after the E nerfs and such, and so on and so forth. In teamfights, sion is a beast. So far i don't really know any good counter strategy against a good sion in terms of teamfights. He will peel like no support, and he will take damage like it's a harmless little wind. Avoid his Q, try to break his shield, and you should be fine for a while. When he's on full build, he's like a mundo with cc. It is a pain in the butt to teamfight against him, i can confirm.

I think sion is strong, but not that noticeably strong because of 2 reasons: He's unpopular and he's played as a tank. (as far as i know)

I love playing sion and i really really hope that he won't be nerfed anytime soon.

Like Nasus, he is supposed to scale all the way into the horizon of the universe.

That's why he is supposed to be invincible in his own way in late game.

Last time I ran with a similar build but swapped cleaver for tri-force, I nearly solo quodra'ed the enemy team. He is a monster if he gets his fill.

He is in a pretty good spot. Since he can be pretty easy to exploit and shut down, while he can also be unstoppable once fed, that's pretty cool.

Exactly, I teleported bot after our duo bot died, and got a triple cause the jungler came along, that's broken right? I mean shit lol. Then there was another thing where I went in solo 1v5 and got 3 kills.

If you're fed, you are allowed to be broken in your own way.

When it's the case of Sion and Nasus, they are the raid bosses of LoL. Once they get fed and farmed enough, they will 1v5.

That's why dragging them down since the start of the game and making sure they don't really get much or anything would ensure their completely downfall throughout the rest of the match. And it always work, with the correct strategy or team comp.

I wouldn't say it's inherently broken since you have to make your way to being broken, while being melee, mana driven and somewhat low starting stats that later scales with your own kit in one way or another.

I personally think that's fine.

Yeah I can agree with that. I guess his late game is balanced compared to his early game. Still though, 800 damage q as a friggin tank. That's as good as Nasus.

sion is op and he needs to be nerfed.

I love how people complain when a champion comes out (Kalista, Gnar, Bard) and people think they're no good. Then Riot buffs them. Then people think they're OP.

Sion is a special case in that everyone thought he was underpowered (His ult and his Q being unreliable) And riot responded with hardly any buffs out side of mana costs and whatnot. Then They nerf his E to the ground.

Sion is balanced in my opinion. Much more balanced then Nasus for example. He's quite easy to kill early game, is incredibly slow and kitable yet at the same time is encouraged to go to team fights and not spend all game afk farming and pushing towers. The decision to farm or the decision to take objectives is even handed, and although he can be a mega threat late game he's not a guy who can two shot carries unless his entire arsenal of abilities is successfully exhausted.

Thank you everyone for the constructive replies. The verdict is He is not broken. :)
